How about the ChCh tank slotting the Rotorua car into parked cars by the pit gate? The facts are; - The referees have a very good vantage point but cannot be expected to pick everything up. They (the refs involved) have a good record of fairness, as Brendan Higgins has already pointed out. - There isn't video following every single car all the time. - Even with video, that can sometimes tell an entirely different story of what went on - The refs don't have the same benefit of 'hind-sight' that we have. Pressure decisions need to be made on the spot. BL

Of course you're allowed to pass another car over the pole line, totally legit, it's what the "pushed car" does next that is the key.

did any body else notice that when GB raced against chch the lead GB car was being chased down the striaght by the chch tank and going into turn 1 the was a block car and another GB car and the GB car that was leading the race cut the grass and passed both car blatently to get out of a straight line from the tank?? and Craig Finnikin got relegated 2 spots for the move

Thank you for pointing that out Barry, I think most people believe only one relegation occurred all weekend.

Thank you for pointing that out Barry, I think most people believe only one relegation occurred all weekend. There were 6 relegations or exclusions to the best of my knowledge.

Which brings up a very interesting point, with a very simple solution.
The Tigers relegation was the only one (from memory) that was broadcast over the PA system with any real energy behind it. "Who of you out there are Scrappers fans? Well, let's here it guys, because the Brett Nicholls from the Tigers has been relegated...and YOU guys are in the finals."
Nowhere else during either night do I remember hearing any indication of the other relegations, although that may be because it's a VERY difficult PA to hear in the stands.
How difficult would it be to put any of these details up on the big screen, so that everyone knows what is going on? Even things like Kevin Roberts removal from the Tigers race, for those that didn't pick up the infringment (yes Kevin, we know it wasn't intentional...) - details of the "what has occured and why", surely that would help the crowd to have a better idea of what is happening. Too simple?

I heard the two pommy relegations announced over the P.A
Although they didn't affect the outcome of the race much, so I assume thats why less fuss was made about them?

Very good! ;D We were told by a very reliable source that the Palmy drivers are actually robots. The whole "Scott Miers injury" and fake bandage was just a complete hoax to make them seem human. Is there anything in the rule book about using robots?

Trying to figure out the conspiracy behind running the event sat, sun next year, theres got to be more to it than the monday being a holi. I know the outcome is panthers winning, but how? ? And Macgor, not sure having the panthers winning creates local support, after the flag dropped the stands emptyed completly, apart from the odd bad spot who was booing. I stuck around to cheer for them...well kinda, i think i was too depressed to move!!!

What I want to know is if Tom Harris got time off school to come to NZ, or if he is doing his lessons by correspondence, because the guy must only be about 14...or maybe 15 if he's looked after himself. He makes Jack Miers look over the hill....

If you type 'PANTHERS' backwards on a word document, then change the font to wingdings you will see such symbols as an ambulance, dollar sign, question mark, speeding car, plus a couple of other thingees that can only mean one thing.........., I'm just beggared if I know what.

Tom Harris is actually Rolfe Harris's younger brother, he went on that UK show 'Make Me Look 10 Years Younger', but they stuffed up a little.... By the way, very good peddler once he gets going. A pleasure to see a guy like this coming over here. Hope to see him back next year.

I'll just sit there repeating to myelf "the pendulum has swung" ;D and "this show is going international"

I'll just sit there repeating to myelf "the pendulum has swung" ;D and "this show is going international" there as actually times on a weekly basis when im glad i cant hear the pa, too many cliches. its only at events like the teams when there is vital info to be heard that i want to hear it, and then i only want the bare facts, with no dressing up and adding of cliches Trying to figure out the conspiracy behind running the event sat, sun next year, theres got to be more to it than the monday being a holi. I know the outcome is panthers winning, but how? ? the theory is that the southerners already have thier ferry trips booked for sunday or monday. if its monday, then one night will be rained out, forcing the southerners to make a choice.

I've been at tracks where I think the same thing - but I want the best of both worlds thanks; no cliches, a PA that doesn't sound like a dentist's drill boring into my head plus being able to hear it ONLY when I want to so I can understand the rulings. ;D Hence, using the big screeen so we can get a clear understanding of the ruling: Ie: "Brett Nicholls - Tigers - relegated five places in last race for being too orange"
Of course, if we get a Dutch team at some point, we may need to go bi-lingual on the screen: "Nicholls-tijgers-verdrongen vijf plaatsen in laatste race voor al te veel oranje"
