Short update. All teams spoken to, emailed and either have a letter or will tomorrow. 2 teams confirmed, 3 prob 90% based on conversation, other 3 im not really sure. Will have a much better idea Monday night. Good idea about a page on the website, or even a whole site just for the Teams Nats. Dion p.s why should the club not run either the teams nats or smashfest, you prob need more info to make that decision. If you want to run the smashfest go ahead but take the risk yourself not the club after all club at moment takes the risk yet you walk away with a cut of the profit but with no risk . rent the track off the club that way if you make a profit you can keep it fair and square

Dion just said it will be Tuesday before an update.. nothing wrong with asking a question any time, who are you,. the question guard? a question thrown out there can spark an entire debate, maybe someone from stratford reads it and decides to enlighten us from the stratford perspective.... maybe it leads to stratford deciding to enter... cmon stratty, cant beat the poms then stay out of this one, every one will think it was a fluke or that england threw it away and you didnt earn it.....its already been said, as for smashfest, different topic isnt it, one things for sure, with international teams arriving these days, internet coverage getting better video sales after the event and an increase in the numbers thru the gate, the teams nats has the potential to make smashfest look small and if Auckland concentrated on and put as much gusto behind it as it does this dirt track meeting each year the teams event wouldnt be in trouble.

England threw it away! from where I was sitting it looked like they were too scared to pass a standard stock.

You guys do not seem to listen very well!! THERE IS NOTHING STOPPING ROTORUA OR ANYONE ELSE RUNNING THEIR OWN TEAMS EVENT NOW REGARDLESS OF WHAT AUCKLAND DOES.Why you keep harping on about "bringing the event to Rotorua" I have no idea. If you want a teams event in Rotorua contact Sonja or someone at the club and talk to them about it. It is a completely different topic to this one about Auckland's team nationals. The two are not related!! Got it now? ?? settle down bud, does it make sense not to have too many teams events per year? the costs etc involved will be huge. Just saying since auckland hasnt succesfully run it last year at all and it seems there are ?? over this years event already, that rotorua "takes over" the current event known as teams nationals... maybe get a better understandign of ones posts before going all "yellow and bold" with your replying post.

Unless HB wake up after the Palmy experience. Go HB!
