Most of the 'budget' cars are sold by word of mouth and usually within the same club. If the car is well known and well priced it is usually sold to a clubmate or a mate of a clubmate without ever being advertised. PS Flatty's for ever.

Yip some cheap stock cars on here, especially some of the flat chassis. Makes you wonder if you were able to have a new chassis built but were never going to be able to put a expensive rocket motor and running gear in it to be at the pointy end of the field, would you go space frame or flatty for the stock car class.

Under trade me rules he cant do that!!!! lay a complaint with them, he never stated it was advertised elsewhere or anything like that.. i get really annoyed when people do this.......

This may be posted wrong sorry mr macgors!!!!the current economic climate has knocked the arse out of sales of everything not just speedway/stockcars.has anyone looked at the crowds this season ?the entertainment dollar is now milk and bread!!!!!!. ok has anyone actually priced building a new car lately? i did and built one last season and ouch it cost way over what id imagined. so some reasonable buys on the for sales depending on what your after. a good fun car can be had for a few grand and a hot rod 25k++ i guess ultimately its where your budget is and what you want to achieve.
So i think there are some good buys on the for sale pages but buyer beware!!! make sure what you buy is what you watched race or know your stuff when you go look at it. remember you can shine a turd!!!!!(hence money pit)
Ok question for everyone why are we/snz(the drivers make the rules so to speak haha) trying to make stockcars faster? and hence more expensive? the rules seem to be changed with speed in mind not ease of part availiablity gone are the days of going to a car wrecker and getting parts(especially for the top guys). Should we not keep the speed/cost where it is?. and yes i do have a hotrod and am well aware what guys are spending.

How many of you have built a car from scratch? Having taken 2 years to do so and a lot more $ than I thought I agree with tim 777e . things are tight for most of us and any racing venture needs a careful balance with family life etc .Our class needs to stay as is .The speed does not need to increase , the entertainment value does . The punter want action with out people getting damaged , we all only do this for a hobby .Russ391R

Hmmm after a few hours thinking and knowing i will cop flack i think i'll just get to the point.
Why change engines/rules for more pace+more cost. and lets be honest thats why the change. who cant buy an au or a holden if they wanted to? availiability isnt the reason next is quickchange diffs and race tyres starting to look like a superstock is it not. ok so my thoughts and shoot me if you wish! yes i run a big dollar car this is my choice( and yes we can all go into the arguement that a 2 or three grand car can turn right and stop the hotrod but then what happens to the cheap car next lap around? some one hurt disheartened and gone )BUT!! in the best interest of our class to foster our sport to have a future some thing needs fixing we need to even the playing field.
Snz govern our tyre size or something? i dont know but we need to stay where we are in speed and cost.
my thoughts my opinion.

Thanks for the input Tim. How much would one of your engines cost? Just curious on what the top sort of limit for a big falcon is.
Theres no doubt the 777 is a rocket and a hotrod. Very impressive car.
Not sure which engine rules you are referring to them changing, as there are few included in this years remits.
is it the 3.5 multi valve remit? the fuel injection allowed on the curretn motors remit?
Will these make much difference to HP compared to the current motors?
Or will we be able to get as much hp from them as the current motors for less cost?
I don't recall there being any remits put foward on tyre size.
sorry for all the questions, but might get some people in for the discussion, given its remit voting time in 2 weeks.
