If Kihikihi and Christchurch are not fronting teams (perhaps) then i wonder who Palmy will "draw" then? id love to see them draw the tigers personally, but with seeding thats not going to happen

nelson got relegated as a protest was filed by opposition Incorrect. You cannot protest in Teams Racing. Oh so the 'refs' spotted the grass cutting by nelson with the outcome being palmy not having to face the more fancied tigers in the final Thanks for clearing that up barry

You will never change how the rules favour P. Its been going on since the great days of the Scrappers. Its to obvious to be coincidental. Isnt it. And no credit to the efforts, skills, machinery and team work - not to mention local track knowledge and having Gary Parkes as their manager - of Miers, Rees, Hemi, Bengston and Penn? Do any of you realise how good those six people are? How good their five cars are? Sheeeesh...........

It hardly comes into the calculations of the SNZ officials. And after the previous year's loss to the Tigers in the Semi, the Panthers wanted to face the Tigers again. They can only face who is left.

Sheeeesh........... brace yourself (seatbelt maybe required! ) there is no doubt that the panthers are good so agree with you mostly on that. but they do get rules or happenings bent in their favor. there are many and varied.hummers, 10 minute bells, and being hauled out of the pits via tractor to name a small example. the panthers are mostly pretty good but then they also have the knowledge that if they press the rules they are more than likely to get away with it. yes they have good cars, great drivers, and legendary management, but they also have home track shenanigans when things get a bit stressful.

i would just like to hear every body elses thoughts on how the teams champs is run. in regards to refferees. All been from palmy. Like to know how you think they are all from palmy, or are you just thinking they are because palmy won, im from palmy but would like to see the likes of the rebels win, the fact is the panthers have been together for how many years, plus the fact they have all be around for double that, the are the best in the game at reading racing and what each other is doing that is why they win, but i guess superstocknut21 you have been in a teams race and know how hard it is to drive these cars, or are you like most of us on here and thinks its easy from the stands just to go round and round with out crossing to poll line?

Seeing as it is a teams sport if a team sticks together with good gear, drivers, management plus some patients and hard work should they not do good. look at the teams that change each year and dont mould together they get walked all over

The yearly same cr@p bout the draw is lame. The promotion has done all it can to convince the draw is just that. Years gone by I was the same, but the last 5ish have been transaparent but still not enuff for some. Palmy (not a fan as such, but respect them greatly) are going to be there or there abouts each year. They are a complete package, (as with my fav team the tigers). I felt ripped last year, but the team were gracious. " We win and loose as a team" as stated by Dale. Some posters on here need to have the same attitude. Yes we are passionate bout our teams that we support, but rules are rules. Sometimes refs make a mistake, but the drivers seem to take it alot better than us in the stands. Maybe that's cos we don't race and have hindsight instead of having a split second decision to make. Also we don't have mega bucks invested. Rather than critisize and speculate, lets not sit back and witness what is the greatest spectacle for motoracing contact sport there is to watch annually. These guys are putting body, car, and money on line for their respective teams for us to watch. Most are friends on and off track, and I know the teams fully respect each of the drivers that suit up to race in the teams. Time to look at the big picture. How many people that think it is riggeg or Palmy biased don't go anymore? This is just my thoughts and I won't be replying to any that question my opinion, cos that's all this post is, my opinion, as yours are. Roll on the 4th. Go Nelson, and HB. Happy to see Joe in the HB team.

What makes me laugh is how alot of people say the draw is rigged to suit Palmy-so to me that says you have little faith that your team will ever beat them. To be the best you have to beat any1 and every1. How was last year rigged when both Palmy teams were in the same group??

Tall poppy syndrome....you have to love being a kiwi. As long as everyone is average and equal life is great!
The best part of this discussion is the 5 teams nationals the panthers have won in a row at a neutral track....or were those rigged too?

The Panthers, the Mustangs and the Allstars will all draw the same group for Palmy - that way Bruce is assured of having one team in the Semi-Finals
