Have you got your flak jacket ready Barry? Sure have, double layer, although I'm used to it as you KNOW it's rigged!!! Although when we drew the Panthers and the Mustangs to meet each other on Night 1 last year it silenced a few critics The interesting bit is we're still waiting on 100% confirmation of team numbers, but it's certainly looking very likely it will be 13 for the very first time (I think I'm right in saying that?) A computer whiz with an algorithm program says it's impossible to do a "fair" 13 team format, so we'll have to see what the powers that be can come up with eh...........

Make 2 of the teams have a run off for the 12th spot! Hmmmmmmmm, which two? Auckland and Wellington perhaps? (the two that weren't there in 2011).......and are you gonna tell them?

Ah yes; on the radio, away from prying eyes. Best you get someone in to videotape it Barry, and play it on the big screen at Palmy before racing starts on Saturday night, so that all those orange-clad people know it was fair. Sunshine is the best disinfectant, and all that...

Perfect, I'll flick them an email in the morning! Personally, I think that we should get some of the people who say the draw is rigged to do it. That way they can't say we rigged it!

lol have already been told the draw will be unfair so are well prepared for that. a explanation of how it works would have been nice but would seem that the formula has not quite been doctored yet. ;D oh and before the whiners start whining again, i type with jest and a smile and looking forward to what may unravel over the next few days.

Stratford got 4th last year so will be one of the top seeds?

No matter who does it , it will still be rigged......................unless I do it. lol. And that stance probably applies to most people.

Can't doctor the formula without knowing how many teams are entered.

Busterbell, here's a challenge for you (or anybody else for that matter).
Come up with the format for 13 teams that works under the following criteria, and I'm sure it will get used tomorrow morning. Then you will only have yourself to blame for the path both the Panthers and the Tigers take.
1; Teams 1-4 are not to meet each other on the first night (Panthers, Scrappers, Tigers and Rebels)
2; Teams 5-13 are to meet one seeded team and non-seeded team (there will be one exception to this rule)
3; All breaks between races should be as equal as possible. Ideally 6 teams will get 7 race gaps, 7 teams 6 race gaps.
On your marks, set, GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Stratford got 4th last year so will be one of the top seeds? No; Stratford came SECOND last year, so they will be one of the seeded teams, with whatever advantages come from that status.

well 12 is easy, 11 is easy, (both been done before) i thought there was already a formula in place that could handle any amount of teams??
