Co2 extinguisher on a fuel fire outside?........................LOL has been done and can be done, most infield crews that are knowledgable use dry powder as last resort due to the damage it can cause to engines, foam is normally first choice

Yes the officials should send him off for outside assistance or just left the car burning if they did want to take the car off. but also Rees has been racing for how long he knows the rules and should have gone off himself

Neither however noticed that Scott Duncan had been replaced in the Wanganui Warriors by Craig Humphries until Humphries was forced out of the race against the Tigers.

well just watched that clip, all marshalls seem to be carrying co2 extinguishers, do they not have foam ones at palmy, and think marshall was to quick to sqirt with out assessing properly as it was nearly out before he unloaded extinguisher.

in any sport you play to the refs whistle and even more so at the top level. would you see richie mcCaw tell the ref that the turnover he just won was illegal and he should be penalised ? would you see a frenchman stop the game and admit he eyegouged and walk off ? Peter Rees was doing exactly as he should - staying on that track and racing for his team until an official tells him otherwise. if you want to blame anyone blame the independant Rotorua ref

what a great race it did look worse from speedbox camera ,yes under rules it says it shall be allowed to keep racing provided there is no outside assistance and it passes a quick safety check .so yer under the rules he should of been off ,in saying that the fire didnt look that bad on the above clip ? after watching that clip scotty never gets off the wall the whole race unless a car was parked there and was the gb car told to retire ?

No Doubt, that there was "outside Interferance" The SNZ official must have been blind to not see it. Why should titles keep getting affected by total inept calls. I also think(maybe wrong) that FWJ was excluded. He wasnt a happy camper when he got out of his car on the infield.
And with the finals tonight, will we get another title deciding balls-up from an official. SORT your people out SNZ, all year they have been making rediculous calls, not only on the track but also in their decision making processes i.e Hemis roll cage and subsequent ban for being upset over the call

palmerston north Panthers should change their name to Palmerston North Cheetahs. It would suit their racing style better

Why is there one of these calls which seems to work in their favour every year - we weren't happy about it much either.
Heres hoping for a Rebels v Tigers final

if you notice in the clip the infeild officials make a good effort not to even toch the car apart from inspecting the cage, the fire extinguisher rule has been used before , so no bad there, its the rules apparently
My big concern is that for the rest of the race Pee Wee's right wheel guard is loose and for that he should brought to the infeild, and before the smash the P go over board and the, pro palmy get on their high horses, I'm Palmy born and bread and been working on stockcars for 20 plus years and my only concern is saftey i wouldn't like to use my body to stop a fling wheel guard.
last night was good racing from what I saw inbetween fixing stockcars well done to those who got through, and also big ups to those who didn't no one was out classed and this year their are alot of teams without time together and they will get better from the experiance

-Night one was better than last year in terms of roll overs. -Surprise package of the night was either Allstars or Glen Eagles. Hammond's hit on Ward was the best of the night. -Rebels looked good but weren't tested. -Coming from a Palmerston North, Rees should have gone to infeild.

same ref, same crap, different year, you do the maths on what change needs to take place no matter where the ref comes from.

Im a bit over this "smash the P" rubbish. IT WAS NOT REES CALL. People should be aiming their anger and complaints at SNZ and not at The promoter or any of the drivers. To imply that its a fix is ridiculous. Id imply that SNZ is INEPT
