I hope he gets banned from every SNZ meeting and gets public humiliation, that kind of behaviour is what will one day ruin it for the fans out there who drink but also know how to behave.

Please don't tar those orange supporters with the actions of this idiot though.
Every group has them - it just happened this one was wearing Nelson colours.
He's certainly not reflective of the attitude of Nelson fans nor representative of this group.

think mintie might be able to confirm if that was the actual guy Im sure he went up and told him to stuff off, well he mention it in his thoughts for the weekend. Found it see below
Now the sad bit, with teams support comes passion and I saw probably the worst of this when Peter Bengston was rolled and this man was at the fence yelling profanities with a hate that I haven't seen before and then he threw a can at Peter as he got out of the car and started the language again, all I could do was get to the fence and tell him to stuff off, he was in a light brown hoodie/jacket with two white stripes going around it, had short hair and was angry. I think he got photographed and I hope it get released to the public.......if you know who he is, i hope he gets stopped from coming to speedway, he was a mongrel.

Sounds like a fair description, put the photo up and lets get him banned. I dont mind a couple beers at the track and dont want to be stopped because of idiots like that. Im a long time Scrappers supporter but I've got the balls to stand and clap a better team, not abuse them. |

Stop selling alcohol at the teams champs. Can you buy it at other motorsport events. But this will never happen because of the profit made from selling it. The only winner from this will be speedbox. Ive been every year since 85 till 09 wont be back with my family till they stop selling alcohol

the can thrower was a fat little kid, all of about 10 or 12 in a Nelson shirt, the officials looked right at him when he done it and just let it slide ...... the crowd certainly got into him but nothing else was done.

Who ever saw him throw the can should of got a security guard and grabbed him then call the cops got him arrested .To slow you lot do something about it ,Bit late now isn't it

I was questioning this post myself as I had read somewhere that it was someone covered in orange. And the other reason was that the guy in the photo Gordon removed looks remarkably like a guy I know from Palmy who is Panther proud. I could be wrong as his face was obscured by that wire rope. Just hope an innocent person is not crucified is all as I've now heard 3 descriptions but only heard of one can!
P.S I myself rate 58p as one of the best teams racers around!
