I know they sort of upspec, but stockcars at Palmy seem to ride the wall, at WP the wall hurts. Good luck to those brave enuff to give it a go.

Trevor's not there because: the rumour going around the Waikaraka Park Top deck faithfull is that he promised his wife to stop racing when he was 50. And as his 50th was apparently the sunday after the NZ Superstock GP, I can only conclude that's why He's not there! No they have split up and yes trev did say when he got to 50 that was it i can say this as I crew fron trev I can say there will be a lot off drivers out there happy tonot see him out there we all no that he was and still is the bigest hitter out there

I have been told that you can ride the wall only when you are been pushed but not when running snz will be makeing this a isue that you will be removed from the track for doing what they do at pnorth but the ones that try to at WP willbe going for a ride

The stockcar guys held there own and knew there limits etc unless you talking about a normal meeting? But stockcars are stockcars at a normal meeting down this way so they hitting and on the wall

stockcars in superstock teams in my mind is not a good thing, we ran the 14a a few years back with carlos in the seat, and he did really well. but that was carlos and his skills.
since then, superstocks have got much quicker and the risk factor has increased.
i do not think it is a good idea

I do agree with you there Ric . A vast difference in horsepower and quite a safety risk .
I do take my hat off to those stockcar drivers who are willing to foot it with the bigger class.

Agree with ya 100% ricoshea.Had a mate hurt himself in his stocky after hitting then getting paydback from a very very fast superstock (1 of the joblins) a while back.2 different classes, leave it like that i reckon.Major injuries or even worse just waiting to happen...........

i should have said that a select few stockcar drivers have the skills to do it, but most are more enthusiastic than skilled and are at risk. but the game has changed and the risk factor increased.

Didn't Mike Mac use his stockcar when he raced for the Hawkeyes at last years teams nationals? If I remember correctly he was by far the best in their team and one of my picks for blocker of the meeting

i personally dont understand the issue here.. Whats the difference between collecting a superstock up the tail pipe while travelling at 20km tryin to block being in a stockcar compared to a super? Your still being hit at the same speeds.. It all comes down to the driver, where did the 45s stockcar finish in the consilation superstock race at palmy? Very near the front.. A fast well set up stockcar can run mid pack respectivly.. Wood you prefer them in slow superstocks? The guys in the stockcars are very experienced and know its suicide to wait at the end of the straight almost parked wit a fully flyin peter rees comin towards them.. Let em run i say!

Another suprise person not on the list is Kerry Remnant, im sure he had, or was approaching the record for most consecutive team stints, at WP as well as Palmy.

i also dodnt see the problem with stockcars running as supers there is nothing different than supers having hoosiers and an expensive engine in teams racing that can be thrown out the door in my few it the driver is in his standard stock wants to have a go why not all got to start some where is it dangerous all moter sport is dangeraus i dodnt see a problem in it really ;D ;D ;D only my oppinion sorry for spelling

Im not stupid there is no way i will be waiting at the end of a straight for a hot rod to smash me but the corners we are even. Yes the speed thing is hugh but if you use your head and block at the right place as Mike did last year you can have some good fun.
