"wannabee's"? have you tried to teams race before? "bring a decent team next time"? how do you even reach the finals without one? "do it outside of the office"? how do you teams race in an office? we do it on the track. the protest is made in an office - and for the records its to a ref who is supposed to oversee all this stuff anyway. "that call was radiculas"? first, its spelled "ridiculous" not "radiculas" and second - refs the one who makes the call... take it up with the ref. "despite the cup been taking away from us theyl be back next year to collect it be proud felow panther fans as no other team has acheived what they have" - maybe true but your spouting off against a team that can obviously stand the pace you guys set and cause some serious damage while doing it. "2night we proved we are the team to still try beat even with 1 car!!!"?well yeah, your a dominating team with some extremely good drivers... thanks to having most of the good drivers anyway. not hard to be the best when you have the best to pick from, especially when your at a track with a huge number of drivers... but its kinda hard when theres only a few to pick from at a smaller track... however, as I understand teams racing the points are won not only from the positions you finish the race in, but the amount of cars that finish at all - with only one car finishing there was no way that the team could have won.. the points for that one car would have had to be higher than the points for the two cars from the opposing team that followed it... and sadly thats not gonna happen. 100 points wont beat 101.... and so on.

Rhodesta, the racing tonight (last night now) was all "first across the line".
1 car could win, the other team come 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th - would not matter, the single car would still win.
On the first night the points were 100, 40, 25, 20 and 10, so even then, in the above scenario, the single car would score 100 points, the other team 95. The winning car will ALWAYS be the winning team.
So what you said above is totally incorrect. Any team with only 1 car can win every race, either night, so long as that car wins the race. It's irrelevant what happens behind him.

interesting to see what fans are being the sore losers now huh, funny when things dont go your way. Just to let you know i was there with my big loud horn with other waikato supporters around me and im pretty sure we still all clapped for palmy when they went past us, stop hating on the waikato team they gave it their all. Suck it up come back next year and take the title off waikato, just like every other team does when they travel to palmerston north every year. This was not the first time a team or even driver have won an event because of a protest i would imagine and it definately wont be the last either Thanks to ALL Superstock teams racers this weekend, you all put on a great show have alot of respect for every single one of you.
Good racing WAIKATO made us all so proud just by making the final. Cheers once again- Jordon Smith

Was it a protest? I was under the impression that you can't protest in teams racing and only the officials can make relegations from what they see unfold during the race.
Well Done Waikato and hard luck Panthers.

What is a hollow victory, winning by doing illegal moves or winning in the protest room by being the team that was proved to have played by the rules?. Having to suck air because my beloved scrappers didn't front a team, i had the privilege to sit on the back straight surrounded by Wanderer fans. As vocal and loyal as they are i must say when i left it was still the panthers who had won, and they were very gracious to the panthers but a bit dissapointed that the two remaining wanderers didn't combine in tandem to nail Penn instead of trying to do it indiviually. A good weekend of teams racing and thanks to all the teams, crew etc for making this such a great meeting.

Dirt fan is going to luv this when he gets up this morning eh - lol. being a palmy fan - gutted - but thats teams racing and the boys will be back. one good thing may come out of it - it may stop all the crap about the panthers always getting the rub of the green and never on the wrong end of a refs call. I can imagine what we probably would have got from the anti-p brigade this morning would have been "I saw Penn pass on the grass on turn 3 lap 5 and no one did anything about it blah blah blah " at least we wont have to put up with that bo$%^ks. Congratulations Waikato.Hey Bruce how about waikato and Panthers in one of your "rigged" groups next year. how cool would that be ?

Sounds like a real shame that the final ended up being decided off the track...but when the officials do bother to pay attention they have to make the calls they see & if someone has breached the rules they pay the penalty.
As for a word like "cheats" that has been posted in a thread or two, that is a pretty strong word to be using. I really don't think anyone intentionally goes out to break rules or infringe, but sometimes in the heat of the hard racing battle things happen & sometimes the wrong choice is made or you are seen doing something after the fact that caused you to be in that position.
I agree with a lot of what has been said...unlucky Panthers, but I know you will be back. Congratulations to the Wanderers, great effort over the weekend rewarded with a great result.
As for Bruce Robertson starting up his own "federation" of speedway in NZ, maybe it might be a good thing. One it will either make SNZ look to themselves & see what they need to do to keep it all together or two they will ignore it & hopefully it will go away. I am hoping it is one..

Dirt fan is going to luv this when he gets up this morning eh - lol. being a palmy fan - gutted - I'm actually a smash the p fan.lol Ive got nothing against palmy, I personally just find it boring having the same old result year in year out (hence why I'm a smash the p fan). Its no ones fault as on the night the best team wins ( not taking controversy into account). As I said "well done panthers" and whilst I'm absolutely stoked that on paper the wanderers are the winners on the track its still the panthers, again this is no ones fault but is just how it is.

I think you will find Karl Ross only had one gear left to race with in the final three laps TOP GEAR hence why he couldnt attack Shane Penn only MY OPINION though.Well done to the WANDERERS. Winning in the protest room is still a win.

Maybe a bit of controversy goes along way to keeping the entertainment factor alive..... ;D ;D ;D
What does get really old is the "smash the P"....yes Palmy is a team you either love them or hate them so to speak...but Palmy have been the dominant team for many, many years.
It is up to the other teams to knock them off their perch. Palmy are the bench mark for teams in NZ. But it is like any sport in our country we tend to throw mud when someone or some team are consistently dominant for long periods of time...it is the Kiwi way".... ;D

Well another great 2 nights of teams racing, thank you to all the teams and drivers, wives, family and bank managers To all the negative people posting here a big raspberry Yes there were some bad calls as there is in every race meeting and not everyone will like some calls but that is how our sport is at the moment, if you don't like what you see and honestly think you can do better Get Off Your Fat Arse and apply for an officials position so you can help improve things. Sitting in the crowd I am constantly amazed year in year out hearing comments of It only happens at this track or similar when something goes against ones team and have been sitting next to the same people at their track and they say nothing when a similar incident happens, please people take your blinkers off or at least open both eyes. To the Waikato supports next to me, Keep up that great support you have for your team and for showing what sportsmanship is by being so vocal with appreciation of every team out there whether they won or lost. Will I continue to follow this great sport darn Right, will be vocal over bad management, officialdom and what I believe is wrong darn Right Because without what we as spectators (who we all know are all knowing and never wrong) believe we see this sport cannot function but as above if you want to make things better get off the couch and volunteer
