I can't comment on the reason for the Ref's action either simply because I didn't notice any offence worth noting via the live feed. I'm hoping a video will appear that gives me some understanding. The worst one I saw all evening was as I noted at the time in the second semi: Wanderers win although leader Ross did pass on grass but 2 more 'h' cars in lineAnd that pass was with all 4 wheels on the grass. Was any action taken? Ah well , what's done is done I guess. I to noticed that. Dale Roberston put him on the grass, they both stoped. Rather then turning around Ross planted boot and took off. Noticed Dale throwing his hands up in confusion?

how come every time our boys win we get called cheats for one we AINT no cheats. we just have a group of guys who know how to race and showed it in the final with one car the wanabees never deserved to even be there tonight no plan watsoever and cant teams race lol so what up with having to protest for what just to get the win man bring a decent team next time that know how to teams race and do it outside of the office. that call was radiculas. despite the cup been taking away from us theyl be back next year to collect it be proud felow panther fans as no other team has acheived what they have and 2night we proved we are the team to still try beat even with 1 car!!! Maybe it's time to read over the rulebook then. Some should be a little more reserved in their comments until they no all the facts/reasons behind something. He who laughs last laughs loudest. lmfao

Sounds like the only consistent thing to come out of both big teams meetings is the amount of time drivers spent using the grass to gain an advantage....
At the end of the day everyone is going to keep doing it until the rules are enforced on a week in week out basis...because only some are being caught & punished, but a lot more are getting away with it. So you can see why drivers will push the rules to the limits & sometimes over....you have more chances of getting away with it than getting caught...by all accounts & what has been said on here Shane Penn was just unlucky....

Some should be a little more reserved in their comments until they no all the facts/reasons behind something. And herein lies the problem, as raised above initially by macgor - what are the facts/reasons?

Agreed bout time things got consistent, break the rule, stop the race right away and pull that car off, job done then whatever happens on the track will be the overall result not leaving fans thinking one thing only to end up something different
teams will stop infriging if week in week out the rules are solid and inforced.....comon get some consistent calls and keep it that way
overall great meeting, just lack of rule inforcing

wait tell muncho gets on here and sees what has happend . only one thing to say to muncho is hahahahahahahahahahahaha. had to do that. and yes my tigers did not get the result that tiger fans wanted but to come up from the south and go all the way to auckland to race im happy with that mayby nextyear guys and well done to the wildcats for making 4th . and waikato for many years u guys have been getting better and better but just havent been able to get that result in plamy and team nats but now u guys have done it u have done waikato proud. Hey stockfan, where did your beloved tigers finish?? thats what i thought So heartwarming that your teams a winner in your eyes because they travelled so far please! What a load of f@#ken bullnuts that is!! Everyone that was in attendance knew for a fact the best team won ON THE TRACK hands down.Karl ross crossed and passed cars on poleline more times then any car alll weekend, yet not once did he get pinged??How you can take solace from a team that won it after a protest seems a bit rich.Oh well.To us palmy fans, our team still won it,and only "select" pisspoor officiating took the trophy away from us,coz no other team all weekend could!! On a good note, was glad to see the the rebels cowgirls smiling a bit more, bar "blondie" ;D Good stuff.

Not quite that simple if it's an offence that only warrants a relegation however.......

Not knowing the team champs rules in detail , and there is many, eg what angle backed into wall in relation to front facing track is fair game to hit i.e. wanders hit on wildcat. Not Going over pole line is standard rules in any class and any meeting. Folks are referring to no consistentancy, there is. Both teams events are run by the same PROMOTER.

I think id be classed as a swing supporter when it comes to teams. I don't support any one team, I prefer to see good teams racing, if a panther puts on a good block or rolls someone I'll cheer like a mad man and vice versa were it any other driver from any other team.

Wasn't there (on Night 2) so I can't say for sure muncho, but does seem like (as per usual with teams racing) that there were a number of similar infringements over the two nights, so the question has to be asked why only one was pinged?

Well i was there night 2 barry and i have absoloutely no bloody idea why!! I could sit here and type "because it was palmy" blah blah blah but fact of the matter is panthers got beat not by another superstock team, but by another so called "team" of officials

Is it perhaps time SNZ had a group of X number of paid officials who go from track to track and do all the big champs meets. Taking into account something like this would get a few nose's out of joint in theory there should be consistency. I'm going one step further than other sports and using the same people all the time.Yes I know there are plus' and minus' but if 6 or whatever number do every meet then they then become very accountable. Fail to perform and they are out and replaced.
