Over the past few seasons the level & intensity has lifted from opposing teams & they are starting to take Palmy on & give them what they have been giving to teams for many years...the gap is definitely closing. But how many tracks have the depth that Palmy have...Asheer Rees, Jack Miers, Jayden Ward only to name a couple of young up & coming drivers that have bags of talent. But this is not the thread to discuss this, sorry about that people. Well done Waikato, two big wins on the weekend....the Panthers & the Crusaders....funny that two teams that pretty much dominate their respective sports...

What was rees up to in final?? ;D rolled bengston, then helped wooten put miers away ;D ;D ;D awesome Teams nats this year!! Ahh your all so slow.... It was Palmys master plan. Their sick of winning. Hence Ree's assistance with Waikato. He got Bengston to help themm then helped to get Miers and deliberately jammed himself under another car. when all this failed Penn had to grass track race to finish themselves off. Top stuff from all concerned. ;D

Is anyone able to actually shed some light on who won? I saw panthers on their victory lap but other posts suggest otherwise...?

Is anyone able to actually shed some light on who won? I saw panthers on their victory lap but other posts suggest otherwise...? Panthers won on the track but the Ref had other ideas. People are saying Waikato protested the Panthers but that would be against the Teams Racing code of ethics. I hope the meeting was conducted correctly by the Ref. There were numerous pole line infringements over the two nights , whether any other such incidents were dealt with we as mere customers will probably never know. Sometimes when we think we are getting up to speed with communication we suddenly finish up back in the dark ages.

So the trophy is heading south? Sounds a painful way to go. It was a good race but either there were no relegations or anything all weekend or the commentators were less than ideal. Lots to say about nothing...

There were numerous pole line infringements over the two nights , whether any other such incidents were dealt with we as mere customers will probably never know. Sometimes when we think we are getting up to speed with communication we suddenly finish up back in the dark ages. It's like the consistency in the actual decision making itself, we have no consistency from track to track, meeting to meeting and season to season on how that relevent information is relayed to said "mere customers". As a sport we largely fail in that area........ On another matter, as I didn't witness last night's defining incident it's difficult to comment directly on it, but it was raised by many after night one about the lack of calls from the officials. To not see a single call made until the final and then have one made to decide the final is disappointing to say the least, when - as others have stated - it was for something that had been going on all weekend. We do appear to fail ourselves in numerous areas at times.......

I can't comment on the reason for the Ref's action either simply because I didn't notice any offence worth noting via the live feed. I'm hoping a video will appear that gives me some understanding.
The worst one I saw all evening was as I noted at the time in the second semi: Wanderers win although leader Ross did pass on grass but 2 more 'h' cars in line And that pass was with all 4 wheels on the grass.
Was any action taken?
Ah well , what's done is done I guess.
