P M Gribbs he knows all the chassis builders in supers,But really there is no need for a pole cause it is clear cut winner Hypermac for now,Called monkey see monkey do .When they win as much as they do of course every one wants one

I think they are becoming more popular than you think! In saying this, what other chasis would be their closest competitor to Hypermac and what success have they had??

lovelady chassis , 891c consitintly leading the pack, just one the elfcup, 25i again consitant top3 placing also got a top three placing at the elf cup, brent emerson 2nd sscar , 891 again 2nd south island championchip, 46e 2nd in gp , kane lawson 17c 3rd in south island champs , the lovelady works car has been right up there who ever driving , and yes i agree with you some of the hypermacs are preforming but they dont seem to be preforming when need be ? may i ask the question why is there such a low number of hypermacs in the south ? can the preform on a south iisland track as well as for the likes of bay park etc..

And Emo is really the only Lovelady in the North, South Island tracks get quite slick rather quickly compared to most of the North Island tracks.

may i ask the question why is there such a low number of hypermacs in the south ? can the preform on a south iisland track as well as for the likes of bay park etc.. The Hypermac chassis is a rather new produced chassis now than the lovelady chassis, thus the reason for low numbers in the south, but they are filtering in down there. As for your second question can they perform on a south island track.. have you seen the 21n Burson machine clean up at woodford glen this season won the G,P & hoopla !! Grant Flynn at the NZ champs at nelson going around the outside of everyone to win a heat in race and receive a standing applause from the crowd, not since Blondie have we seen that. Shane winning the NZ champs at cromwell, to name a few Lovelady may be the chassis in the south at the moment and they are very successful down there, but the Hypermac gets my vote ;D

The last couple of meetings I watched the super saloons at the Glen, it looked like 2 different races. 6th of April 21n broke the 1 lap and 10 lap record, and he broke the one lap record earlier on the 11th of Feb. He took 4 seconds off the 10 lap record. Once he was out front it looked as though he just settled down to a rhythm. I said to a guy at the track that it looks like you are going to have to have a hypermac if you want to win anything next year.

The Hypermac oozes "muscle" IMO. Love the "chunkier" look in that regard.

I think the Hypermacs have spurred some interest in the class and up'd the standard of car and equipment in the class. The guys who have been building them have been putting top rate gear in them which has raised the bar in this regard. Better shocks, drivelines, engines, fresh tyres. I wouldnt however go so far to say that to have a Hypermac is the necessity to be at the front. Put the same gear into a Halcrow, Lovelady, Moore, Phantom, learn what makes that particular chassis work for you as the driver and youve got an equal chance of being at he pointy end. If you fill the field up with half of one make the likelyhood of them being toward the front is higher !!
