My picks. Bay Park and HB into finals. BP to win. Then Palmy and Nelson. Bay Park races Hawke's Bay in the semi, so there goes that theory I'm picking a Wanganui vs Hawke's Bay final, and duly declare this to be the year of the Warriors!

The Warriors v Mustangs race would have to be one of the best ever but how could Humphrey be deemed not to have used the wall to his advantage on that last lap ? it was obvious to all at the track the only way he was going to get around was to use the wall.
(f) Any Competitor using a concrete wall or bank to an advantage, in the opinion of the Referee, may be penalised.
i see the rule says "may" be penalised so they must have decided not to but why ?
we were all having a laugh thinking this would be one of very few races where the only finisher was disqualified.

Problem I think is that yep 18V used the wall in his final lap, but then so did 63P on his last . Refs might have thought that at least 18v got over the Finnish line

Ive been to every Teams Champs since they started and their has always been the odd unusual/unexplained call over the years. But never ever have I seen so many results influenced by the "Referees? ?" as occurred tonight, talk about power crazy. Looks like the days of results happening on the track are gone and it is the referees who you have to win over, not the other competitors. Maybe they all had a lazy few dollars on the Hawkeyes at 25 to one, I can;t think of any other reason for some of the "Calls" tonight, Not sure if I will be their tomorrow, the first time for many many years,I go to watch StockCars win races, not a bunch of 6 referees. I understand what your saying but.... Rules are rules. Everyone was told at drivers meeting about how hard they. We're guna be on pole line cutting. At the end of the day it's cheating. And Scott miers was pulled off for having a red light from his in car camera which was another thin everyone was told at drivers meeting.. So they can only blame themselves...

maybe the difference was that 63P was forced there. 18v would never have finished the race if it wasn't for the wall - he'd have ended up somewhere in the square - lol ! red light from in car camera - whats that all about ?

Red light will be from a go pro camera on record I'm guessing, I thought 6p got taken from the race for attacking off the grass... Fair call in my eyes and everyone around me that understood the rules, And with 8p it looked to me like the 4 previous laps in a row he was pole line cutting? Were they told in drivers brief that they were gonna be harsh on that rule?

The red light from within Miers car would have been a Go Pro or another form of in car camera. It isn't rocket science really, if you run a go pro PUT BLACK TAPE OVER THE LEDS OR TURN THEM OFF! I've been running a go pro since about a quater of the way into the season (View footage: youtube.com/CGMediaNZ ) and the first thing I did was go into the settings and turn the led's and sound off, I also always put black tape over all light sources of the camera just to be sure. It's not a hard thing to do...
