A thought from left field? If Blondie had run with the Supers and been very competitive would he open himself up to protests about the car etc?
By not racing with them the performance of his car is a mystery and consequently other competitors don't know how much of a threat he is?

Sooooo... You want me to think you're a fool? LOL - not serious bro, definately not serious! Rule - T11-2-21(e)(v) is only in effect if the engine is placed in that position - when the chassis of 999D was built, the engine was not placed in that specific position as it is not a full bodied honda. That makes the effective rule T11-2-21(e)(i). If you think other wise - then the engine must remain as placed where it is in a standard road car as part of rule T11-2-2 (e), which takes precedence over rule T11-2-21(e)(i) as it is part of what constitutes a legal car to become a saloon in the first place. That means rule T11-2-21(e)(i) which you claim "rules out your other pointless argument." makes any corvette illegal on the basis that they cannot obey both rules - in the standard car the engine is set too far back. If that is not the case - could you please explain how to obey both rules while maintaining the intent of the rule book? Im also interested - which rules are you thinking blondies machine doesnt comply with? since ive seen the car and had a darn good look at the whole thing maybe we can straighten a few things out? Your tag line says it all... you really are a special kind of stupid.... woah nice way for the PROMOTER of wellington speedway to insult someone

Well I had no idea there was so much "stuff" about lil ol me!! Had my 3rd "green sheeting" last night (Monday) & the wise men are consulting as I waste preparation time tapping this out, on whether they will let me race in 3 days!! I see the geegee odds have gone down somewhat while they consult. I wish I COULD sell tickets for scrutineering at Te Marua, it used to be just the driver & scrutineers allowed in the shed but I guess that's progress. My signwriter (sorry vinyl layer) has hopefully found some 1956 Standard 10 headlight stickers so everybody can see what breed the race car is! And I'm trying to find an ugly duck for a bonnet ornament but most of them are too cute. I wonder if the "competitors)" who have been trying to take me out before the competition starts will be brave enough to identify themselves? Imagine being scared of a silly old fool in an unproven 135 cu in racecar, forced to carry 7kg for every cubic inch, while he (they?) roar around in big V8's hauling only 2.75 kg per cube!

Scared of the unknown, the number and the name. Pretty unreal how such simple things and a new car that is unknown has caused such unsettle and debate. I think its great, Bet you (blondie) had a load of fun reading this thread amongst others

I don't wanna talk about betting but I think if you could buy a bit of paper with Blondies name on it that you could sell back to the bloke who sold it to you if Blondie wins, then the opening price of $151 was about right. Anyone buying those bits of paper at the current price offered for resale have too much money. Honestly if Blondie wins this thing I'll have him the chequer flag myself wearing nothing but my "Blondie Rules" boxer shorts.

Barry B not only that, it has bought heaps of interest back technologically too, Im not a fan of rotaries ,but having something thats not a corvette or a mustang brings something extra, its kind of funny that an old geezer in a jap sh*tbox would probably appeal the most to young teenagers who wouldnt cross the road to watch yank v8s. way to go blondie!

I'm not saying I dislike all of the shiney new creations either........but prefer variety to a field of 20 bling-laden cars all the same. Some of us remember the days of the MGB GT V8's, VW's and Rovers (well, one of each anyway) taking on the Monza's etc. I'm not saying I want those old cars either - just some variety, some different ideas tried!!! Why does all of the innovation with regards variety come out of Stratford?

I just cant work all this hype out over Blondie. For starters, its Blondie, you know its going to be different, you know its going to be fast, either get use to it, or just get use to it. Secondly, its Blondie. If you don't know who Blondie is, welcome to Speedway, google is your friend.

Can someone please explain why Blondie's car is carrying 7kg for every cubic inch v V8's hauling only 2.75kg's?. Blondie when Mazda won Le Mans with the 787B triple rotor engine in it the following year they outlawed it and Mazda could continue to race it because all the big boys thru their toys out of the cot...... Just because the engine is not a American built with heritage these engines now can and do out perform V8's and this will scare people who have invested a lot of $$$$ on pistons!! When I was at Huntly the pits were abuzz because of you and the new car with 20+ people around it!!!....
Just wish I could get you a triple rotor hooked up with the super charger and give it the Jandle cos I'm sure you would see a few change their engines after they see how well it would go and it would!!!!
Good luck and go hard!!!!

You are right about 1 thing and that is teenagers and the Rota brigade would turn up to see if it as you call it Jap Sh*tbox give them a run for their money...... It would be good to get it to the 4&Rotary nationals to promote it so that it gets the following and hopefully bums on seats around our speedway tracks?? We just need to get a good looking body to sit on Blondie's car!!

LOL We are re-inventing the " Rotary v Non Rotary " wheel Great to have this discussion re Blondie & Rotary Cheers WISEOWL The question should be how long does a 20B Triple Rotor Last??? well the answer comes in 3 parts just like a piston engine!!!
1) Engine Builder - Has to be a very good builder and knows what he is doing 2) Componentry - Using the right internals ( new parts only not used ) and tested 3) Setup - Fuel supply, Jetting, Ignition, Rev Limiter, Dyno
The 787B engine which won Le Mans 24hr was stripped down afterwards and there was no wear at all and was put back together race ready for its next event...... then got outlawed
Rotary engines will last as long as any piston engine as long as its well looked after !!!!
I had a street car with a race engine all bet a 2 rotor and that engine is still running today and its 24 years old!!

So why does Blondie ( edit - a non V8) have to carry more weight for every cubic inch? because its supercharged. rule T11-1-2 (c) Maximum engine capacity 434 cu in. In the case of supercharging or turbocharging of any engine, the nominal engine cubic capacity will be multiplied by 1.7. The car will be treated in all respects as if its cylinder capacity thus increased were its real capacity. This shall particularly be the case for calculating vehicle minimum weights and maximum engine size.this means his car ich would be minimum of 802kgs if it were naturally aspirated has instead got a minimum weight limit of 921. the supercharger multiplies his engines cubic size to 229ci instead of 135ci.

I think alot of people are forgetting that there have been a couple of modifieds that were legal as super saloons saloons before.
Its not exactly a new idea, just a new way of working it out - according to what ive been told one guy at waikaraka used a saloon chassis made to work as a mod whenever he changed the bonnet and added a wing.
seen some pics on here somewhere - buggered if i can find them now, wonder if google will be my friend...
