Darn it. My two teams in the same group. Well actually I have three teams. Baypark, Gisborne, and any team that races Palmy. Haha. Negatives - My teams in the same group. Positives - 66.6% chance of one of my teams making it to the semi finals. Could still get 1st and a 3rd That would work for me.

May the best team win and would be great to see an upset win for a team who's been so close before

Although I'm a Wildcats supporter, a dream final would be the Hawkeyes vs Warriors. Both teams have contributed so much to event over the years, many times both have been involved in the stand out races of the night and both have come so close but never won. From a purely sentimental point of view a Warriors, Hawkeyes final would ensure a dream come true for one team or the other.

That is an absolutely mouth watering draw in so many ways and some incredibly even groups. The minor placing points will be I think more critical than ever (if that is possible). Highway45, I hope you are okay because that's an oversight of lenegendary status! And Barry, the Speedway meeting took place with the British lions in attendance and a HUGE crowd, wouldn't that have been the perfect time to do it as we have in the past? Is there a specific reason you have to be a part if it that we don't know aboutt? I know you've put massive effort in to it in the past , but it just seems a real shame to drop what is becoming a great tradition and a really good way of setting the stage, especially with the expense of getting the Lions to that meeting. Can I just ask that we at least re-instate that next year, please?! FOUR MORE SLEEPS TIL MOTORSPORT NIRVANA, I cannot wait.

Can I just ask that we at least re-instate that next year, please?! FOUR MORE SLEEPS TIL MOTORSPORT NIRVANA, I cannot wait. I think the draw probably should be done at the Team GB versus Auckland Allstars race each year now, especially as neither television or radio is available to us anymore (we've done them both in the past too), and while the draw was actually discussed late last week (it had taken until then to confirm the 12 teams competing in 2016) nothing was finalised before the weekend's activities....and I wasn't in town anyway. I think I really only got involved initially as over a period of time I developed these spread sheets so that we could do the draw on the radio, and get instant groups and an instant race order of the 12 match-ups whilst still talking live on air. It had to be simple and idiot-proof (since I was involved!!), and on a sheet that we could immediately email off to the programme printers (and get it onto macgors!!) since this was done on a Tuesday morning with race-night being Friday night. Then when we stopped doing it on the radio, Bruce just left me with it as it was one less thing for him to worry about!!! Plus I think it's been good for him to distance himself from the draw. Was great doing it at WP last time, and I think that yes, we should re-instate that for next year. We have 12 months to sort it out.... Barry B

I really hope no one is twisting Barry's non attendance into anything scurrilous with the draw, as that would be extremely unfair and plain wrong. There's always been accusations and drama around the draw and I thought last year's draw would have put an end to it all. I have witnessed recent draws first hand so I know they are 100% straight up. I do think we missed an opportunity on the weekend, but as Barry has pointed out, this year that wasnt possible. The real question now is, can Barry manipulate the weather for us, as that's what's desperately needed. Go the Allstars, oh hang on. . . Actually, after the huge drama of the Super Saloon GP, will they upstage the Superstocks this year? That's a distinct possibility, though I suspect they WILL get a talking to this weekend before they race. OMG, what a weekend we have coming up!

Growing up in Tauranga, but now living in Wellington, I'm torn as to who to support in the green group!

No wonder Keven Roberts pulled out of the Glen Eagles. I 'd probably pull out as well if I was drawn against the Panthers and Hawkeyes!! I don't think anyone is going to come out of that group to line up for the Quarter Final without substantial damage and hence weak. Hawkeyes are not a team to mess with and have gone from strength to strength the past few years. The race of the whole event in my book will be Race 4 when the Panthers come up against the Hawkeyes - as there will be carnage. But that will leave both teams to be limping - and give the Glen Eagles a glimmer of hope when they hit the Hawkeyes fresh - but my money would be on the (in very second hand shape) Panthers to come through from Group D by a whisker. But oh how I hope the Hawkeyes sneak through in front and knock the Panthers out.
