I watched a video on Salazar facebook and one thing stood out to me - what an awesome size crowd. Apparently there was a 200 metre long queue to get in 10 minutes before the first race.

Nothing wrong with that hit from 9c, lights are green, 19c is moving, nothing cheap about it at all. The Superstock racing in Christchurch looks awesome from all the videos doing the rounds, let's just hope no one gets hurt and it all stays on the track. Also got to hope that with all the action and no doubt damage, the drivers involved (or others) don't get out of the class as can happen when injuries or excessive costs happen. Christchurch Superstocks seem to be starting to grow in numbers again while Nelsons class is close to disappearing, so what happens this season or next could determine whether the Superstock class remains strong or not in the South Island.

Did I hear correctly that someone took a cheap shot at Malcolm Ngatai after the checkered flag in Heat 2? There’s a vid on the RJPTV Facebook page, looks nothing wrong with it, decent hit. No cheap or illegal tactics. Probably not the best idea at moment for 19c or any car actually to be going that wide that slowly around the outside of corners as there’s a few ready to have a go 😂
