LOL, they do that at all NZ champs. Where have you been for the last few years? Yeah it does look good but I'd prefer the cars in the pits It's done for a reason, which isn't to annoy spectators. You do have an inkling why, don't you?

LOL, they do that at all NZ champs. Where have you been for the last few years? Not at the tracks hosting them obviously Fan engagement wise you certainly lack something when the young ones can’t get up and have a close look at the cars pre racing Could have a zone in the pits where all the cars are contained off if crew touching them is the issue, or could allow the punters to wander round the infield Yeah and someone interferes with the cars while there amongst the crowd. You can see fine from the fence. Or turn up early, before they get scrutineered.

The demo derby has started
2NZ on the back of a tow truck through no fault of his own, is a long way back from 2 DNFs
Dickson is absolutely flying, best I have ever seen him go

Been a bad night so far for the 2nz. Mechanical failure first heat and now on the infield after a pile up in his 2nd heat

Cardwell sitting pretty with 2/2 and in a proven chassis in feature races 2NZ gone for the night, hit was so big the pedal box moved

The Stealth chassis has arrived, absolutely flying and dialed into the slick track, a real contender for the title

Richie Taylor the quiet achiever of the night, 2 back row starts his last 2 races for a 4th and 6th will have him sitting nicely with front grids to come
I’m more of a fan of the 3 heat format, but must admit the prospect of coming tomorrow weather permitting and seeing Chris Cowlong try and come through the repecharge into the main event is something to look forward too

Be great if the commentary would give them. Hopefully they will tomorrow night when they start to mean a lot more as things balance out grids wise. A little analysis of points vs grids never goes astray in leading one on which driver(s) to watch in any given race. Barry B

Interestingly the cars that may surprise going on tonights results could be Mark Pitcher , Mark Osborne, Dan Corrin. Mark Osborne first race got the set up very wrong although for the other heats he got it perfect he was like the old Mark Osborne. Mark Pitcher was driving very well going very hard. Dan Corrin hopefully is back to his old form giving it heaps. Plus plenty of other awesome driving by a lot of other drivers. The rotary powered 98m car should have been black flagged in all races causing unnecessary damage to other competitors. Lets hope he is not back tomorrow causing a demolition derby. Lets hope the weather hold off.

Sam Waddell is an immaculate racer, one that is always around but you don’t notice too much, leading the points but has had mainly front starts I think
11T standout of the night for me and will take some beating, is one of the main guys you can see going forward and passing people on a slick track. I’ll toss 58c, 1NZ, 16R into the mix as the main threats, is another large group just behind them containing the likes of 18M, 48C, 73C, 8C, 3NZ, 6C who are also there but with a bit to prove over the longer distance late in the night. 17C would have been right amongst it but the error while running 2nd in a heat will drop him down the grid
Amazing the quality on the track in every race

Thanks for updates people, very rarely I can watch live stream on fridays as I work late and time difference makes it impossible.
Anyways heard there might be rain tommorow? What’s the go if that happens? Will they run Sunday arvo or postpone until later in season or cancel all together?

I thought the track was pretty good considering the amount of supers running.
