I see where the promoter has got superstock pairs down for a meeting ,that will entertain the capacity crowd know doubt ,along with super saloons , I dont want to stir up a hornets nest ,but with i think 12 meetings that stretched the classes of entertainment value that the Springs has been known for to the limit .And the crowd have respected that like those who have been so loyal to the place over many years . But as the old saying goes ,one door shuts and another one opens ,,dont be surprised if some of the bigger teams and sponsors look at bay park as a alternative if they feel there Home track is going to be invaded by some of the past events once held many years ago .. Entertainment is the key to any show ,change may be the answer ,it does come with a cost to who ,that will tell ..

Isn't the track prep different for Superstocks and open wheelers? I.e. Don't open wheel want sticky surfaces which would not be great for Supers and don't they wear the track in a different way? My concern is that (assuming I'm correct) that this is the Sprint Car GP night and therefore the track and night should be optimised for Sprints.

It will be great. Like any meeting you always set the track up for the main event on the night. As they say lets go racing. Do it on the dirt. Bring it on.

Sprintcar Grand Prix - 28th November 2020 Superstock Invitation - 30th January 2021 Superstocks are on the same night as the Auckland Sprintcar Title I wouldn't get too carried away with the whole Superstock thing.

Super Saloons like a tacky track just like the Sprintcars - they are in some ways similar (similar power, tyres - only sprintcars are lighter and more downforce). The Stockcar classes help make a better track as they cut up the surface a bit. Once the Saloon classes come out we do a couple of formation laps to get into position. This also tends to "roll" the track and then it is great. From my layman's observations (I am not a track prep expert), I find when stockcars are on the program there is a lot less dust and the track does not go black (except for a long feature race).

so what classes stand down on the nights they have these invitation classes?
Are the F2 Midgets going to continue or are they shifting to Baypark?

Has anyone got a handle on who the “Internationals” are the midgets? Not impossible but an exemption needed at present, is it sorted or just wishful thinking that NZ entry and quarantine restrictions would be gone by Christmas?

Pretty ambitious on the 28th December running all the normal classes and Modifieds and Super Saloons, have they got a new curfew of midnight?

Very ambitious. But things are a changing.
From there meeting on Facebook I'm sure i heard them say Pit gates open at 3pm for teams to get in. But they did say could be some changes.
Suoerstocks night will be very interesting. Unless Bruce's decibel rating is more than Bill's was.
Roll on practice Saturday 🙂

Anyone have any idea of ticket prices conditions? I see on their website that they have season passes but how do these compare with ad-hoc purchases?

Obesity is at a alarming rate and iam one culprit ,so it appears do you think the Promotion has taken sides with NZFirsts opinion that restrictions on junk food should apply

That’s because RFA want a cut of everything, including food.
