I'm lucky that I live here in palmy, huntly is now a must do for me and for 25 bucks that's good, plus auckland ,11 teams this last season and I reckon it outshone the teams Champs.....and.for only 30 bucks, and gold card prices its great value.

You make it sound like its the council in Palmy that won't allow gold card prices Pretty sure BP is council-owned and they do Senior's pricing. Almost every year at this event the punters get tested to see if they will keep paying the increased price, it's just greed. Normal club night prices haven't been going up every year at the same venue. What on earth has the Tauranga Council got to do with Palmy Council? This is simply a case of supply and demand dictating pricing. Bruce is running a business not a charity. If he needed to attract the senior audience to get bums on seats I am sure he would consider a concession. yes and there lies the difference as you say Bruce is running it as a business and not a club, this is why there's not much local crowd support for club nights at Palmy and each year there is less and less.

even the embankment tickets are $73, its becoming like the all the other major sporting events and getting out of reach of the common/traditional fan to attend. But there's also the live stream that many will take advantage of, and then bemoan the lack of quality - its a vicious circle.

Whinge, whinge, whinge. If you don't think $200 for a weekend of top entertainment is good value, then don't go. It is basic economics, supply & demand and if the $100 tickets sell out then you can bet your bottom dollar they will go up again next year. As someone above pointed out, it's not a charity, it is a business and business' are there to make money and the more money they make then they will continue to hold top events.

Going on sale Friday 2nd July, I for one won't be forking out $103 plus costs and fees per night, thank you very much Mr Robertson and all those responsible for such an outrageous cost! I am a pensioner who has struggled over the past six champs to find the money to enjoy this amazing event in the comfort of the grandstand However, for me at least, this event has now priced itself off the market. As expected, there is no special pricing for Gold Card holders, as is the case for all events at this venue. I won't be supporting speedway at this venue again, unless the promotors see fit to change their policy concerning pricing for Gold Card holders, many of whom (including myself) have been going to numerous events season after season. I would rather go to Rotorua or Te Marua where we Gold Card holders are acknowledged and appreciated for our support thank you. The only problem with Te Marua, after checking out their calendar for next season, there aren't that many "must see" meetings. Without the Stockcar Teams Champs they had last season, there is nothing to tempt me to go there at all next season. I will be attending Palmy more than Te Marua, which is a shame as Te Marua is my home track.

Just looking at the Te Marua calendar and there are 3 maybe four meetings that'll attend of the top of my head, so i'll prob be making a few trips from y'nui to Palmy.
