Huge amount of pressure on Pete as Gisborne are the clear favorites to get the job done this year. Also a bit of pressure now not to have a bumper come through the side of one of his cars and cause a serious injury.

Does anyone know if the 4 seeded teams this year are the 4 top qualifiers from last year? Usually it’s the top 4 after finals, but with last years tragedy and cancellation, meeting never went much past a race or 2 of finals.

One wonders why they’ve picked up Sheldon over a local option? Personally I would’ve loved to see Corey baker thrown in as 6th driver for two reasons. 1: he’s an Auckland local B: I consider him to be a vastly superior teams driver to Sheldon. It’s hard to believe that the whole superstock class and alleycats team members turned down the opportunity to be 6th driver. |

First time a couple of Dutch racers get to race at this event. Hopefully they've got at least 1 practice teams race lined up for them? Heat 3 of the 240s gave them a bit of practise at the biff! 😀 |
