Hardly a Great Britian team when only 60% of them are British! Perhaps they should be renamed the EU Lions? Gisborne giants should change there name the. 50 percent of there team are from chch 2 out of 5 = 50%? Better sharpen up your maths skills there young man  Mind you, the same could be said about the ChCh team itself, since you mention them in your example It's certainly the way it is today, and, ultimately, the teams racing nationwide is better (more competitive) for it. So what are you advocating, some sort of "Track of Origin" series? And how would that work when people move around the country for their jobs, families etc? Or, horror of horrors, their original track no longer runs superstocks?
You only need to look at any professional sport to see that their teams are invariably comprised of a group of mercenaries, playing together with a common goal. Like it or not, that's the way it is...

I think rings ins or not we are now getting into a field that alot of teams can win. Certainly there is some stronger teams on paper. Unfortunately we don't race on paper!
I would much rather how it is now than when Palmy won almost everything.
However I have 3 teams I want to win. Gizzy, BayPark and any other team other than Palmy. hahahahahahah

They aren't Chch drivers because they are G registered.
Clearly the Rees effect is doing wonders for Superstocks in Gisborne and word has it the Club are good to their members too.
The majority of the drivers at teams have either raced for a different track at some stage, or don't live where they contract too.
Chch even have ring ins.
I'm all for it...this is why we now have 14 teams for next weekend and many teams capable of causing upsets and winning the event.
