To make it even more unbearable they had all 3 in a row a couple of times.Adult ministocks, productions then youth ministocks. If they have to 2 ministock grades racing should give them a race each before the official start time like they used to with the novice solo races at Ruapuna. Kids ministocks are the future of our sport and deserve every opportunity they get, and should get alot more credit than they do, why ppl moan and groan about them all the time is beyond me, without them I'd imagine the sport would be really struggling in all classes. The criticism is of the combination of 2x Ministock class and Production Saloons at the same meeting, not Youth Ministocks

Those kids have some bloody good racing.
Yes all 3 FEEDER grades in the same night will put some off.
On the other side of it, maybe a new promoter is needed who will bring something new to the table and also open the shop more often. It always seem to closed.
Just my thoughts.

Simple: less is more! Woodford Glen has fantastic classes. I witnessed Mods, Superstocks (good numbers) and Supersaloons all in one meeting Sat night - fantastic! Not too many tracks where you get such a smorgasborg of racing. There's just too many classes in the one night - the evening is too long. Simple solution: drop one of the ministock classes and alternate them between meetings. The focus however should always be on the youth ministocks as preference.

The youth ministocks aren't bad they are the future of motorsport and many champion drivers have come from this grade. At WFG you often get a full field or near full fields.Adult ministocks in my opinion aren't as good and the fields are alot smaller and I think they are the lesser out of the 2 grades

Youth ministocks are good. They put on good racing I have no issues paying to watch them. I do think they should alternate myouth one meeting then adults the following. 3 less races a night would be great for us oldies who have work the next morning

I don’t know why adult ministocks still exist, should be a kid class only and send adults to production saloon, or maybe adult ministocks from 17 to a particular age maybe 22 or so

I'm yet to see a benefit to racing production saloons other than at certain tracks its needed as they don't have class numbers. I'm surprised they don't run adult mini stocks in gisbourne.

In the south island the only 2 tracks that run adult ministocks are CHCH and GM.If there are only 3 tracks that run them in the north island that's 5 tracks in all of NZ.Surprising that they are still a thing but a good point was raised can there not be an age restriction on the adult ministocks of say 22-23 and once you hit that age you are done with that grade

Ministocks should be a kids class only IMO as as there are classes for all adults, kids have open wheelers or a ministock that’s it, having adult ministocks haven’t helped with parts supply ect for the kids, if adults want purpose built cars there heaps of classes for them, if the budget dictates what class u can race then there’s productions

No security pointsman over the railway crossing again.Could be a problem on a busy night if every car has to stop.Took nearly hour and half to get out a couple of weeks back.

Yep word is spreading! If you want to wait an hour to get over the railway crossing post meeting - go to Woodford Glen! Otherwise live stream or stay at home.

I gather they have been told to stop using a pointsman by authorities thus the Glen isn't to blame for the change. Blame the public officials that need to justify their existance somehow.

Yeah it is ridiculous from the authorities , have gone from a completely safe scenario the way they have done it for years to potential for disaster removing that system

Surely the authorities know when the train is coming. If it's not coming on a Saturday night then what's the problem - let the security do their job. If there is a train coming on a Sat night then notify the relevant people and plan accordngly. In all my Sat nights of attending WG I've never had to stop for a train. Has anybody else?

Going back 20-25 years used to have one going through about 6pm and occasionally would see the train light when heading home, nothing since that time though
