Look at it this way Red Waka pulled out (covid) so Woodford Glen rang Sid Rotten, Barry Bogger and Nigel Weiner and said "Hay guys your in the BoS" Now as per the rules once your in your in, So Red Waka ring Woodford Glen and say hay guys we want back in. Are Woodford Glen supposed to ring Sid Rotten, Barry Bogger and Nigel Weiner and say sorry guys you know how we said your in well now your out?? Yea but if you look at it this way, team red waka pulled out because of the new big thing covid and didnt want to risk it, the promotor then hits up the next on the list and says hey mate red waka pulled out cause of covid your in, then the meeting eventually gets cancelled cause of this thing called covid… You would think out of respect to the team that has supported the meeting for all these years you would give the invitation back to them as the meeting never happend because of that same very reason they had pulled out?? Surely rotten bogger and weiner would respect that also… Thats the way i look at it anyway.. Yeah but if you pot the shoe on the other foot if Rotten, Bogger and Weiner were on the list racing at BoS for 10 years then pulled out for covid so WG ring Red Waka, who has been trying to get in to BoS for the last 5 years, and say your in. Should he or would he give his spot back? Would he respect that? And wait another 5 years?

The format and entry list needs to be updated, it's got stale.
1,2,3nz, South & North & GP champs should be invited first
But then why are the Rees family never invited?

I think what some of you keyboarders are missing is there is strict rules in place for this meeting.
If you cant make it you are able to lend your spot to someone, Joblins one year had Groomey race there car just so there spot was still there for Simon the following year. They could of let Groomey bring his own car if they wanted but they took Simons car instead as they were heading there anyway. Kairyn was invited last year when it got canceled with the ferry and this year because he is injured he went out and found a replacement to use his spot for this year only, He didn't withdraw. Now if you withdraw/pull out then you are giving up your spot. That's the way I heard it works and most of the drivers of spoke to know that as well. I know there is a long waiting list for North Island cars wanting to go to this meeting.

Very interesting that Superstock list by my count 20 out of the 32 didn't even attend the NZ Superstock title.

I'm just surprised this is such a hard event to get entry into yet half the field are guys that just club race out of Christchurch. Is their big prize money or what is the attraction??

The format of it is that 1 local car gets teamed up with 1 visiting car for best pairs over 6 heats. When the local car numbers weren’t high it was 1 south paired with 1 north Not sure on the waiting list etc, just probably one of those word of mouth things for an event that now has a reasonably long history

Sad in a way as it's been very 1 sided since..

Team Red Waka told they aren’t required this year for the Battle Of the Stocks by the promoter Very, very disappointing decision for the fans. Red Waka did pull out due to Covid in 2021, but the event didn’t run anyway. I’m sure there will be 3 very capable cars replacing them, but these guys have been extremely loyal to the event for a very long time, and they draw the crowds in as well Will be interested to see if Woodford Glen put out any other reasons for the snubbing The Red Waka team kind of snubbed their own fans by not returning for the 2nd night at the NZ's at Huntly after they failed to qualify.
