I don't believe they would have been ready. They'd brought the finals series of races so far up the race schedule already. Certainly not ready to the extent both teams need to be to fight the final to the last lap anyway. The promotion were in a no-win situation once it started to drizzle. Bring the final out even earlier with damaged cars from the semi's and it's a flop. Race on the greasy track they had and it'd be a flop. Leave it until later and it rains and doesn't happen tonight at all. What a flop. In hindsight they probably needed to start 2 hours earlier than they did to fit the whole program in. But everything is so simple when looked at retrospectively. 2pm is a weird race time for tomorrow though, especially with everybody staying in motels checking out at about 10am. Anybody travelling tomorrow, and we know about 80% of the crowd will be travelling, is not going to be happy about waiting around for another 4 hours for one race, how ever great that race promises to be. And if it rains overnight, which I'm assuming it will do, the track has to be prepared to feature race standard without any consolation racing or anything before it, as there will be no other race cars there. It just all adds to this weird 2022/23 season we're enduring. Barry B

P cars yes but the 971c of Jayden Ward was still having work done right up to point of last call to the grid. I'm not even sure it was 100% ready as anyone I asked was very wary of telling me the real story and fair enough, Commentators let secrets slip but you gotta try!!

Just to clarify livestream is free only for those who purchased last night? Here in Chch I know people who are not speedway fans but would watch it free especially since it's the Gleneagles. Be a great gesture if Videohub they opened it to all.

Be a great gesture if Videohub they opened it to all. From their Facebook page With only one race left in the 2023 Superstock Teams Champs tomorrow at 2Pm we have decided that we will stream on Facebook and on our website. As it is going to be difficult for some people who have paid for the night of streaming and for the gate passes to watch we decided it would be best for everyone to be able to watch to ensure nobody misses out.

It was reported that 57v had retired to the infield early in the race, but he eventually got it fired up again some laps later (under a red light perhaps) and tried to rejoin, but the refereee said "no way, you'd retired". Anyone know who’s cars the GB team used? From memory; 515GB = ex Benji Sneddon W240 winning Rees chassis with Asher Rees' 1NZ winning motor, owned by Pollock Cranes 555GB = owned by Team GB (don't really know anything else about it) 5GB = Palmy track car, former Peter Bengston 2nz car 410GB & 418GB = two William Humphries cars, one being his 2021/22 season chassis and the other being brand new. I think the brothers changed cars between the W240's and P/N Teams. Barry B

Wasn't the 581P partially on the track and partially off the track? I did not see where 57v parked before rejoining. That may have made a difference. Barry B
