Where did the 88p get to after the restart? Did it just go the length of the grandstand straight and stop again? Barry B According to Scott at the presentation ,he was being check out more thoroughly ,so there fore i shall leave it to your great imagination ,and yes 88 had little contact with the other contenders after the incident happened ..maybe the engine expired

I for one get darn sick of people keep saying its rigged all the time , simple answer to all of you if you don't like it then don't watch it don't keep rambling on like a broken record OK Drivel!!! Look at the live draw again please. You'll hear that Wanganui is named for three races, the second & third being called one after the other. It's hard to imagine there isn't rigging going on when you make a critical examination of who the Panthers draw year in and year out. The blatant bias of the commentators too is so hard to swallow. So pleased to see them all given their come-uppance by a superb Eagles team. Oh, and no I'm not a passionate, one-eyed Eagles fan, don't even live down south. Just a passionate speedway fan who enjoys level playing fields and unfairness put to rights. I'd suggest that your barb is born out of your own acceptance that where-ever there is smoke there is fire and for years and years and years there's been too much smoke to ignore the fires of draw rigging. It's an easy fix to ensure draw rigging as well as draw rigging suspicions and allegations are avoided. Maybe next year? Not likely! Not all Commentators are biased.

Yes I'm sorry but giving it to a Team is BS. Jayden Ward was clinical and very deserving. There arguably needs to be a "Warrior of the Teams Champs" trophy to be awarded to the best overall driver of the weekend as well. And that would have undoubtedly gone to Jayden Ward this weekend. We currently have an "entertainer" award and a "rookie" trophy, the latter being well overdue. Most people seem to have adopted "The Spike" as the "Driver of the Weekend" trophy, which it's not. From the live stream perspective, I thought the entertainer of the weekend was the drone pilot. Barry B there used to be a warrior of the oval .not sure why it's not given out no more

Sure must agree 100% with wildcatsfan with regards to the draw. Year after year the Panthers draw weaker teams. Happens to often not to be rigged. So pleased to see them get their arse kicked in the final. Even at the presentation they were trying to claim 2 from the winning team.

Post from Miers Motorsport on Facebook saying Jack is fine, taken to the hospital post racing yesterday
The fact he had to go to hospital isn’t a great look and raises serious questions for whoever made the call that he was able to continue

For other injuries its up to the driver to declare and decide whether to continue. I'm picking plenty of other drivers were feeling the pain and chose to battle on.

Letting the 88p continue is one of the strangest decisions I've ever seen from officials, and not just at teams champs. . Barry B Stopped under reds for Safety Barry, the driver is checked by a medical expert and if deemed to be ok then he is free to continue on which he was. The officials are not medical experts and are given advice from the medical expert on the day. in this case the all clear was given and wouldn’t matter who the drivers are and where or what the team they represent the same result would have happened. Done it before and do it again not only just for medical but also for a unsafe vehicle as if passes the test then also free to continue. Free to call me anytime if you want any help interpreting on the rules. Regards As I see there is no provision or reference for this in the rule book. The only "safety check" is for roll cage integrity after a roll over. This "rule" needs to be drafted into the rule book so as it can be pointed too with intergrity and able to be enforced at all venues.

Im not going to comment on the commentators as i could not hear them at all in the grandstand so i have no idea on anything they said on either night. I had to go on hear to get results. As for the draw, it frustrates me when people say this event is rigged, it is a LIVE draw with independent people there to ensure fairness. Your name may come out back to back but then they will move the races apart from each other.... The top four tier one teams from the previous year are always seaded so they dont meet each other on night one. SO Chch, PN, Gisbourne and GB will be placed on the draw and teams will be drawn around them. I not sure what else you need them to do.... Names are all in the hat, top teams are seeded to ensure they cant knock each other out, its live in front of everyone, independent people are there at the draw.,,, Let me know what else can be done to ensure a fair draw but i think thats everything you NEED to do

From my very limited knowledge, Jack argued that they could not take him off, he was fine to continue racing, he had NOT been knocked unconscious and Jack was saying at that time he as fine to race. The car had no breakages to deem it unsafe to race. Unfortunately from what i could see as he moved forward he could only go left, the front right wheel was not even rotating. AS he moved down the straight his car just went further left and could not turn onto the track. I THINK at this time Jack realized his car was not going to be able to hit anything and coupled with the injury he DID have he decided to pull off. THe title is not worth his health or life! Next year lol :-)

Post from Miers Motorsport on Facebook saying Jack is fine, taken to the hospital post racing yesterday The fact he had to go to hospital isn’t a great look and raises serious questions for whoever made the call that he was able to continue I agree. We've seen plenty of instances in league in recent years where a player has suffered a head injury, often staggering around like a drunken sailor, only to return after "medical checks". I think rugby's system of Head Injury Assessments is far more robust. If there's any suggestion that a driver has been knocked out or has suffered a head injury, they should not be allowed to continue. Please note; this is not a criticism of Jack Miers or any driver. Let's be honest though; what driver is going to 'fess up to having suffered a head injury in a race as important as a Teams Champs final? They are gladiators, not conditioned to quitting. Surely the decision should be made by an independent person with medical knowledge. Head injuries are insidious, and have a multiplying effect if not diagnosed and treated correctly. You only have to look at the NFL with the incidence of cases of CTE, and rugby players like Geoff Old, Carl Hayman and Doddie Weir, who recently died from Motor Neurone Disease, a condition which former rugby players are 15 times more likely to contract. Or read Dale Earnhart Jnr's book Racing to the Finish, where he describes his battle with repeated concussions, which eventually ended his career. You only get one brain. That's a pretty compelling reason to look after it!

Obviously the car wasn’t good, but driver must have also been pretty 2nd hand to retire infield. If he’s anything like his old man, and I think he is, he would have tried to carry on even if car had 3 wheels missing and the 4th one was flat.
Just glad he’s ok, and got the check up at hospital straight afterwards to confirm this. He took a few big hits, from both 991c and also 971c on lap 1 into pit gate.
