24H smashed the 59D which was stationary in an unattacking position.. surely that deserves more than just an exclusuion from the race.. that's the sort of hit no one wants to see, just no need for it. The hit was legal, tank could have reversed in race direction and attacked thus was in an attacking position. Interesting.. not what's being said by commentary

Although commentary dont always get it right. They are questioning 3nz hitting the 175p car facing the wrong way, but we are sitting here questioning the 175p car going back and forth across the circuit to block 3nz.. looked like 175p was on enough of an angle to technically be driving the wrong way up the track..

That was a tricky one that I suspect wasn't quite legal although he wasnt really attacking, more being a moving block. Ref will have to decide that one .

Commentators are kinda killing the stream with their cheating allegations against everyone. Everytime they reckon someone did something wrong they are banging on about it. Just call race and let refs do their job.

I'm not watching it or there so can't comment on the incidents mentioned but I really don't know why there is so much confusion over the car in an attacking position rule. It really is fairly simple. I guess cause it's so far different to normal race rules that causes the confusion maybe?

Philpot should be out of the meeting just like the Wellington car. Waikato track though.

I guess cause it's so far different to normal race rules that causes the confusion maybe? I guess most of the angst comes down to it feeling morally wrong to attack a stationary car . The drivers wanted it to be legal to attack from a stationary position in teams racing thus it follows a stationary car can be attacked provided the car is an attacking position. What people dont understand is you can attack in reverse so long as the movement is in the race direction.

Yes the hit was legal as per the rulebook (at least how I interpreted it anyway) however it was incredibly morally wrong and not in the spirit of the sport. I myself personally feel it is a rule that needs to be changed sooner rather than later before more drivers get hurt.

Just call race and let refs do their job. Well said on the speculation, need to maybe mention that incident, the options and then throw it to the refs and that they will update. We don't want to constantly hear thier opinions as facts!

It’s nothing against the commentators personally, both are probably the best in Nz, but today it just seems to be bugging me more than any other time haha. Also bit of a bummer for 5w fans, out for rest of weekend and 8 day stand down for the hit off grass and into parked car. So that’s his NZ superstock champs over with next weekend too.

I think that 1 sentence sums it up perfectly. Far more pithy and succinctly than I could ever do it. Thanks Mr Mac
