Looking forward to teams racing this weekend, looks like a fun way to end the season, pity one team is missing. Thought the BSL guys would have loved to have shown them selves as a formidable unit. The Tq field looks mint too. Some of the BSL lads are racing at Kihikihi Speedway.
Michael Pickens racing in Australia along with Hayden Williams.
Still going to be a good night of racing to see the Springs season out.

Tough sell for this one with 12 Midgets, 20ish TQ's and Quarter Midgets supplemented by rally and vintage demonstrations to try and make a show.
Be around 45 SNZ registered drivers in the pit area.
At least the promotor is trying to put on a show by dividing the Midgets into teams but this one is a hard sell for me.

Pickens said he doesnt plan on doing any more meetings last week. unless he's changed his mind gonna be rather small field of Midgets.. hosting meetings on same weekend especially towards end of the season big ask. get drivers change their plans.

least Heritage shield meeting gives those with vintage Midgets or tqs. chance get them out on track for few laps.

Next season i would not be surprised if you dont see more registered cars heading for Bay Park

Next season i would not be surprised if you dont see more registered cars heading for Bay Park you are spot on.. hopeless from day 1 im not a fan of going to Waikaraka Park.. all it does is shows the council we only need 1 track. kick springs to curb and run in the dump ... Hopefully will rain saturday and save the cream pie from the promoters face (low car count low attendance) |

Granted this isn't the Rolls Royce of meetings but still has Open Wheel fields that most tracks around the country can't turn out. We do get a spoiled in Auckland with high quality meetings. It is still a good enough show to get my money as a show of support to the drivers and promoters for putting on a show to get the Auckland Champs and Heritage Sheild events run. Agree 4pm would have made more sense at this time of the year, but what is one or two extra layers. Who among us really thinks that a meeting can be covered by a $10 charge. The costs of tyres, motors and fuel have all gone up majorly in the last year or two. Drivers and team owners need some return

Drivers and team owners need some return hahahah get some return.... its like 80 to finish 11th to 20th in a feature at springs and you pay more than 80 to get your team in lol... no money towards costs unless you win then you need to win every feature and probably only cover your tyre bill if you lucky |

Dont want refund any money those purchased western springs season pass. hence the reason attempting run many meetings they can at waikaraka park. quite frankly your hosting 12 meetings at the springs. people dont want go waikaraka for these shows should be able get refunded. dont pay go another track so surely do right thing and pay fans back. last meeting of the season at $30 really does sound like cheap night for them expensive one for the fans..i'd imagine the crowd turnout be just as poor..

This is one of your best posts so far this season , It shows the sacrifice of the die hard fans ,that buy season tickets to see there sport ,only to be let down ,by a hopeless promoter ,that simply either doesnt care and rips people off .. The administration be hind it all is so lapse ,you can see how when meetings that include the Springs at Waikaraka gate takings are charged accordingly ,but the question remains over the seasonal pass the springs fans have purchased ,of course a percentage goes to the ASSCC from the promoter ,the springs fans on seasonal tickets pay twice .. |

When I had my little rally phase back in the mid 80,s I remember in 1986 when the world rally championship came here with the Group B cars, went up to woodhill forest and was very cool to watch, very quick cars👍
