Two SNZ exclusions from Heat 1, the big one being 33s Tyler Walker who went from grid 18 to fifth in the race. The other exclusion was 91p, excluded for attacking from the infield and trailered. He had finished 17th, so officially only 18 of 30 driver score points in the first of three heats. Biggest mover 99v from grid 29 to 7th, +22.

If Robb done well in race 2 race 3 he would of been a huge target anyway.Really silly rule though

So, from memory, 9w 56 pts, 79p 54 pts, 8a 52 pts after two heats.

Why was Tyler Walker exclude from R1, please He finished the race with a flat right rear tyre, but by the rule he should have retired infield. Must have gone flat very late. Barry B |

Tyler just claimed in an interview it popped the right rear in T4 on the final lap. So he really had no choice but to finish the race, but then came the DQ. There has to be a better way. Will this NZ title go to any driver lucky enough to not get a puncture? Barry B |

Barry B This raises the question of a very late flat RR like in the case of Kaelin Mooney last night, if it happens of the home straight then there is almost zero chance of any mud being spat into the crowd given the car is travelling in a direct straight line. Then again if someone attacks that car and spins it then the RR could bite into the surface and send a clump of dirt over the fence I guess. Using my inquisitive mind how often has any clump of dirt been flung over the fence whilst the car is on the straight and racing in a direct straight line? Come to think of it if all your tires are inflated and you get attacked just short of the chequered flag and cross the finish line whilst still engaged in the tussle but a tire goes flat during the incident do you get DISQd when there is zero chance for you to pull centrefield? |

8A is listed as a DNS on live laps but they also have him currently running about 6th. Thats taking efforts to camouflage yourself to an extreme!

1NZ 79P, runoff for 2nd, 99V & 9W??? Are you sure about that? Using My Laps I Have 8A finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th in the three finals giving him 82 points, the same as 79P. Maybe there is an error in My Laps or possibly changes of placings from what My Laps shows? |
