Cheers Pallmall, if you could find a picture of Dads old car it would be awesome, if not i'm sure he will love to see some of the cars from that era.

Just a couple of extra names Pallmall or whoever can help find photos of my dads car, before Dad and Peter Lawson raced they bought it off Ian Barnard and Winston Kerry who used the same number p4H, also i liked the photo of the 63h Vauxhall saloon car, that is my Uncle John Jones, the same guy who makes the original wooden speedway models.

27b just up above is that tub warner? Think so, this was taken at the Easter meeting 1967, probably the first time ever that there were stockcars from all the North Island tracks in the one place. Even the prior NZ Champs held hadn't achieved that.

WOW great photos Pallmall.
Before my time, but knew all about the days of Forest Lake & thanks to this thread I have learnt abit about it. Thats great. NZ speedway should have a full full history website of things like this, tracks historys, champions etc all on one site. To this and Baypark had been awesome.
Some great names there, Phil Joyce, Ian Easton, Barry Featherston, Kevin Free & Snoopy to name a few.
Good thread. Appriciate the old times and our hero's that built what we know

I do have some newspaper and programme cuttings stashed away that I can't get to at the moment, might be some photos of the ordinary folk amongst them.
