I think its c#@$ that there are single club teams ready and geared up for this meeting that dont get to run while made up teams are allowed. What happens if by some remote chance they win are they then going to share the next teams champs Or is the real reason we cant get a start is that all those N/ I teams are scared that a S/I team can kick their butt ;D.If made up teams are all the go then IF any team wants another car I am ready and rearing to go.Animal. as the stockcar class grows and grows we are going to get everyyear unless we have a format to accept all the teams, if not we will have to have like a round robin thing to see who makes the big teams meeting, then more teams racing during the season and i will be happy with that!!!!!!

IMO If you can not make a team from your contracted drivers then you should forfeit the right to have automatic entry if there are available teams ready to take your place. The only time teams should be filled in with non-contracted drivers is when there are no reverse teams... Otherwise what is the point of having reserve teams at ALL!!!! Whether it be Nelson or CHCH or any other it doesn't matter its about being fair until a change of format is available to accommodate all.

Hi there - I've read the Waikato drivers list, and see CJ Chesnutt in the team. I'm assuming this is Senior, rather than junior, since Junior hasn't raced, and Senior was one of the stars of the Waikato race? If so, that makes them very tough to beat. After the Young Guns performance in PN though, and watching the work between races on Dales car to get it fixed and looking like new, I don;t think you can go past them. They way they can repair wrecked cars to as good as new is unbeleiavable. I used to think they were able to race and not get damage, but man, with the army they can mobilise to fix the cars they will be very very very difficult to beat. Would have to be mechanical faults that will rob them - if anything i think the team is stronger that last years with Jordy replaced by Darren Grey. Paul Gaskin has the experiance, and showed at PN he has lost none of his timing with the only person to stop Peter Locke. An equal to Al Levein. Just look to strong when you take the heart out of the thinking equation

Palmy teams showed me how the Wellington team is so much that the cars on the track. A number of drivers gave up the opportunity to race at home in order to be there helping the team. Certainly are a lot of people that put their heart and soul into making the Young Guns the team they are.

a bit hardcase really going up against cj No doubt you'll have the inside wood on what he's thinking though Ric? Still, you always fight harder with your mates - its all about respect.

cj plays things close to the chest, so no i don't.
fairly safe assumption that cj and mark won't be waving at each other on track, but the plan is that we will be down in welly on 26th and catch up with the chesnutt's ( and others ) for a beer that night.

Only a few days to go. I'm picking the match up of the championship will be the semi-final between the Titans and the Maulers. Unless I have the format wrong and they don't meet till the finals In qualifying Maulers vs Vulcans and Young Guns vs Raiders should be nothing short of scintillating.

Thanks for the update Ramjam - i too was told some of the Baypark team, and from what i can remember it resembled the team at Huntly with a hunt, a gallop, a tank, maybe another gallop, and the other bloke from huntly.
Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but thats about as good as i can come up with.
Not having been to baypark in the last few years, and with little online about them i must admit to having little knowledge about there drivers.
