Kia ora Yes another awesome night of action (well what I saw anyway when I wasn't scraping the mud) with definite value for money at the Valley of Paradise. Nice to catch up with you too Gordon and I am pleased to be able to advise Tiaki and all you others that Mr Macgor is back in fine laughing form. Also nice to meet you too Murray 13R and the short discussion we had confirms for me why I enjoy your posts. You are as sharp as a tack! Got the motivation down to a T as well with your discussion about ensuring speedway remains fun and enjoyable.
Yep Darc jnr back behind the wheel of 37R tonight and he had a bit of fun with Kyle. Good to keep Kyle honest and sharp for the defence of his title I reckon. NIce to see 87r win a race too in the superstocks. Wow there were a lot of cars there tonight - Outstanding value for money with an excellently organised event that had two of the best commentators at their Mikes too. thanks guys. Green flags and green lights.

'Twas an amazing night for a supposed 'club night'. Ngahihi o te ra, thanks for sticking your head in my window and stayiing hi. macgor.proboards60.com/index.cgi?board=saloon13rYou're correct cheque book, apparently two competitors ran up to the ref after the feature complaining of my racing the last lap and half without a bonnet. Tony Heuval 17r also complained about contact, suggesting most animated I should be stood down for 6 months. I wish these jokers (litterally) would tell you before a meeting they had secured the rights to the whole track width! The ref left the points and results as they were. As I shook my head in wonder, humming, "What shall we do with the drunken sailor",as to what motivates these folk I was reminded that it was a points night for the macgors saloon series - You'd think it was a holiday in Fiji on offer! Anybody know for sure how the macgors saloon series points are allocated! It appears only the last race of the night is used (three heat reverse marble) rather than the three races.

Just to clear up any issues with the 1NZ Stockcar engine check. At the beginning of the night JV told me that they were going to check the engine of which ever car it was that won the third race and it just happened to be Alan McRobbie that did. Although I wasn't there much when the engine was being checked I understand that nothing of any concern was found.
I also am lead to believe that there will be quite a few cars checked at other tracks as well prior to the North Island Champs in Hawkes Bay in January.

Sonja and Stan Hickey, Hose Direct Rotorua Stockcar Club and those who contribute to the facility to make it the place it is ...
Absolutely amazing. Very very much appreciated! Can't give a 10 out of 10 as nobodies perfect! 9.5/10 from a saloon competitors point of view!

Totally agree with everyones positive comments re Rot last nite. For me at $5 that was one of the best value meets this season Excellent weather, reasonable crowd and some great racing on offer. As a spectator I would give it a 9 out of 10. I had my macgors tshirt on and strutted through the pits and back to our spot on the start of the straight coming out of turn two. If anyone saw a 6ft5" guy with Rebel1 on his back walking with my five foot wife, that was us ! Saw Murray in the pits but as we he was busy helping someone else we didnt want to interrupt. Congrats Murray on your racing. You certainly seem to have the car dialled in to the Rot track and were definitely the fastest saloon on the track last nite. Glad common sense prevailed with the protest against you. The prod saloons had handicapping in their racing and it certainly made for some good racing and some interest in this class last nite. I know it has been talked about in another thread but it certainly makes for good, close exciting racing. Teams Junkie, sorry I didnt get your number loaded into my phone so didnt get a chance to say hi. I think you said you were going to be on turn two so was trying to work out who you were. A great nite and fantastic value for $5, we will be back for more club nites based on last nite for sure. One question I do have is how or is it possible to get my wife a ride in the 2 seater ? If anyone has contact details and price I would be greatful Steve A

Thanks for all the positives, it was a good night's racing and was really relaxed in the pits as well, was most enjoyable.
In answer to the two seater. It will only be out occasionally now just for the odd bit of promotional stuff, until the next Club Night which is later on in the year, just send me a email and I will see what we can do but I do have some bookings already. Some of you may have seen it at the start of the night with a dog in it. This was a bit of practise for the pre meeting entertainment for the 240's, should be something quite different, which will be followed by a fundraiser for our local SPCA who are really stuggling. I can assure you this amazing dog really enjoyed the ride. No the place hasn't gone to the dogs ha ha

Lots of tall guy/short wife combos in Vegas so ya didn't stick out that much ;D I thought it was another fantastic club night in Paradise. Great numbers in the classes, and watching the new Foxy mod in full flight was worth the 5 bucks alone.
