Possibly the most incredible night of full on professional super saloon racing I have ever had the privilage of soaking up from the stands - Not the least being the final shoot-out between Dean and Ray. None of the above in possible without the best drivers on the best track!
Dean had an electrical (battery) issue which clearly has been overcome. Brent E has significant diff issues.
Congratulations Cromwell.

Yep. The reports, and phone calls I got suggested good close racing with passing. Should be good for tomorrow. That final shoot out tonight could be the same two that might decide the title tomorrow.
I hope Emerson can sort his dramas and starts near the front of the repercharge with the points he had in the bag before the breakage

You and I must have watched two different lots of racing Murray. As per usual at a Super saloon champs there was a fair amount of carnage. Waddell was a class above the rest of the cars and IMHO only luck can stop him winning 1NZ based on tonites racing. 34t did well as did one or two others but 81m stole the show. Wont say too much about the track other than it did not live up to the hype it was given. Lets hope tomorrow is better. Will sleep on it before I say any more, looking for a better nite of racing tomorrow nite. Goodnite all

he had a 1st, 2 2nds and a 3rd, i make that 48 points Was 12 pts to win, 34T top qualifier overall with 44 pts, 2NZ 41 pts, 46E & 91T 40 pts, 4W 39 pts, 96A 38 pts......... Stewart and Waddell looked the best IMHO, and Emerson blew the diff but was virtually fixed when we left the track, should be off front row of repechage tonight to put one more NIer into the finals. We're up against it boys and girls. At least Keegan and Richie Taylor didn't look as competitive as I'd expected, but there's still tomorrow night...........

ive raced in Cromwell many 2 day meets that the tracks is always awsume come day 2 when its regraded and the moisture gets a real chance to resurface from below with the new water on top,so watch out for some kick arse grip from these boys tommorrow and im predicting a new lap record!!!You heard it here first. We believe in you SCHUMAAKA bring on the grip brother!!!!

Well I have just arrived in from the track and all i can say (IMHO) it was an extremely drivey track with no complaints from the competitors. We could of had a flat dry slick dust bowl but instead we had a drivey track. So for all you critics out there come and see me at the track tomorrow for a yarn and maybe you can prep the track for next years title in Huntly. Congratulations for all those that qualified and good luck for the repercharges tomorrow night. A comment was made to me its been 14 yrs since the last time qualifying went through without any protests.
Bring on tomorrow night. Promoters Pick in no order 34T 81M 21N 58C
Regards Phil Promoter

You and I must have watched two different lots of racing Murray ... Wont say too much about the track other than it did not live up to the hype it was given ... Goodnite all Rebel, agree very much with your posting! Last night however, was the entree, with the main meal for the final. The track was a driver's track which rewarded a driver with a brain and big horse power. An alternative track, and frankly one I expected in this wind blown sun drenched region, was SMOOTH and SLICK within 4 laps of the first race. Clearly not a billiard table, but undeniably very drivey. A poor track WOULD have produced poor racing. The track was improving with each race ... And I predict the same will apply tonight. Usually we experience a track that is degrading!

great nights racing, congrats to the cromwell speedway for putting on a great track and great nights racing. very few incidents and barging the whole night. my picks for tomorrow night would have to be 81M, 34T and 891 or 2nz at the moment. drive line was very good on the upperside of the track and some drivers seemed to set their car up for that race line.

So things changed again...... the cromwell website said 13 for the win. ....Their entry details for the championship said 20 for the win...... Waddel and Stewart have been my picks for the podium for the last month or so, at early in the season at baypark Waddell showed his game was clearly a cut above the rest. And its Ray's home track which his recently revamped rear suspension which was obviously going to work for him
