why can not each track that has a Major event have a person to do this job . just like lap scores stewards gate people etc who do not see the racing at all it should be part of holding a NZ title or a island title Some tracks, eg Gizzy, are already very much into meeting the needs of those at home! Like any business, customer service is an evolving aspect as technology changes. Steve Williams will not be competing tonight due to engine failure, needless to say extremely disappointed for himself, family, crew, sponsors and spectators. A similar result to his SNZ Saloon Championship at Huntly. Bugger, gutted also for Peter Hemi and team, Mr Emaculate ... I see his rig in the hotel carpark. Peter took it in the rear prior to a race start. The weather at the moment is near perfect. The pits are full and the spectators filling the banks. My pic ... no can do as we have too many increibible worthy competitors on hand this weekend. Ray Stewart and his nissan are certainly a force to be reckoned with and , I'm sure, a crowd favourite. Dean Waddel 81m and team are nothing but the ultimate professionals, seemingly able to apply every bit of horsepower (and lots of it) to the track.

Whilst I accept Gizzy does a fantastic job in this area, and are lucky to have such expertise on tap, surely the first rule of any club/promotion is to put bumbs on seats, attract physical paying patrons, and not attend to the whims of those that have no intention of attending. If I were a financial member of Cromwell or Blenheim, for example, I'd be wanting to see the the "full house" signs up before any efforts were put into, or money spent, on providing live and free results to the rest of the world. That's what macgorians are for

I certainly have no qualms about keeping folk informed regarding what is happening at NZ Champ events as all speedway fans and competitors own the event, but few are privilaged to be able to attend. The provision of up to date info (live) also encourages folk to attend the 'real' thiing' when possible!
