Close but you are missing a vital bit- the driver in the photo.?? It is Boote. After this drive he did the deal to buy the car from Barry

That was taken sometime in late 90s or early 2000s.
team green come down to bne,son for there annual teams event late in the season.
My memory of that night i think team green was 116a Barry Hunter( the 138r hotrod with chris allens body and bonnet, 87a Cliff wrightson, 87a Ian Sloan, 74a Jeff Mohi and 1nz Craig Pierce.
Craig boote had a run in the 138r(116a) during the meeting( 4 laps to be precise as he tried to break the lap record.
Must have liked it as he kept it ;D

It would have been late 1997/98 season. Craig had already had a run in 138R at the NZ Champs in Rotorua after the meeting on the second night. . He was racing the car the following season.
The bonnet is the 138R one, not from 116A, totally different. First thing I noticed on the photograph, and then the headers, both a giveaway for that car.

Yes, same car. Have you any photos of it at the 1997 Auckland Teams meeting? My guess is the ones you just posted are from 1998.

I see this thread has died, is there any new Gordge cars being built for the coming season? Not dead, just resting. Will be cleaning up some of the OT posts and starting to put some new stuff up soon. There have been a few cars change hands, the only new car I know off is the new chassis for 1NZ, if it in fact happens. Better to wait until the season starts, there is a thread on the general board full of bs and speculation.

Was 31b Andy McCabe a Gorde? Andy has had a few cars, not sure which one you mean, but none have been Gordge chassis. The majority have been self built.

There was talk of Geoff James ordering a new Gordge, with the driver rumoured to be a x 1nz from wellington. As Pall Mall notes of course, that thread is on the main board, and time of course will tell

Hey Pallmall is the 19R superstock a gordge chassis or self built ???History? Cheers The 19R Andrew Harvey car is a McCoard chassis, or a "McGordge" as Neil basically copied the Hot Rod when he owned it with a few of his own ideas thrown in. I don't think the Harvey car has raced for a couple of seasons, and is a sister car to the ex McCoard Aaron Headington car and the ex Dayne Wright car now in Palmy as 57P. It does, however, now have the Ford SVO out of the Hickey/Mohi 'Tyson' Gordge chassis. The 'Tyson' chassis is running out of Palmy this season as 74P.
