the few we have are the best in the country muncho ;D unfortunately there are no-one in the wings once these guys call it quits, in fact i dont remember the last (full time) new recruit to the class. it must have been blair cunningham. and that was some time ago.

i can't understand why they changed it ? In response to the track, I think you will find that in the past with the old surface, visibility would be down ,dust levels very high.

Much as I'd LOVE to see a full field of top-class supers from the South Island Buster, there just aren't that many of them, I'd agree. It hurts me to say it, because I'm a South Islander through and through. BUT, what you're saying is if the South Island isn't strong, then the class isn't strong...and the 240 and NZ champs numbers just fail to back that argument up.
IF though, all the South Islanders capable of competing at this level were able to attend here (or in Kihikihi in a couple of weeks), I think the opinions might be quite different: Nelson: Ewers, Higgins, Harwood, Peterson, Boote, Cunningham maybe...even old man Clayworth Christchurch: Ngatai, Brad Rosewarne maybe. Invercargill: McManaway
That's 10 off the top of my head, which woulds be a huge part of any field, and would certainly indicate that the sport is is doing pretty well in the Mainland.
Sure, there could be all sorts of comments about no-one coming through the ranks, or guys who may be ready to call it quits...but that argument could be applied to the North Island pretty effectively as well.

Brand new KP Tank that was built for Bart Prowse, i think it is now powered by a Toyota V8, driven by Anthony Brown.
