all great races today real c**p about horse not being aloud to race because of a trye problem at thew check in and wade getting stood down for the last 2 races for cutting the pole line that didnt look that bad from where i was ... maybe it was because he took to many people out in the 2nd race Yeah that sux that wade was not allowed to race in the last 2 heats, my mate said he never did cut the pole line. Thanks to the race officials for taking some of the action out by not allowing wade to race the two heats, guess they don't like seeing cars hit and people getting their moneys worth. What a load of crap

Wht u up to Craig? If the driver doesn't own the car, then the future of the sport should be fairly bright as the owners can then pick up some of those talented stockcar drivers coming through and give them some good machinery. Not sure Craig Boote is ever going to be able to sneak under the radar though

What a load of crap There has to be something to it though.....and I'm sure your mate didn't have his eyes on Wade the whole time. Wonder if you'd defend him so fervently if he'd taken out a driver you were supporting. I'm sure the reason for the decision will come out, so I'd suggest reserving judgement until it's made known.

boote has been a rare sight here in nelson, and i think some might be disapointed if they think he will romp away with another nz title. it is boote thou, and funny things happen in the north island when he is around

Have heard Wade trailered for a few things. Attacking off the grass, hitting Joblin when stationary. Guess truth will come out soon.

i think you will find that that will be curtains for the class, or that those wishing to compete will have to contract up north to race. either way there has been no evidence of the class prospering here in nelson anyway so once one goes, the rest may follow.

You mean "curtains for the class down south", right? I sincerely hope it won't be....but I really don't know. But the class is obviously prospering elsewhere....very strong in a number of areas.

I'm struggling to see the basis for the argument that the class is killing itself. Big numbers here...and big numbers for the NZ champs. On that basis alone, the sport is doing pretty well. But the thing that really gets me is the range of complaints about 'flag' racing. Surely that's what this particular event is about - getting enough points to become the World 240 champion. Isn't is blatantly obvious that it's not possible to do that without racing for the flag (or for as many points as one can get). The NZ champs will have exactly the same format in a couple of weeks time; I expect it, and I should imagine that anyone with a racing brain would expect it too. However, once drivers realise they can: A) Help their trackmates to a title by taking out the competition; B) Improve their own chances by taking an opponent out or making up a number of spots on the track; C) Form an alliance with another car (or cars) to improve their title shot, or; D) Absolutely ruin it for some other competitor in the way of payback (I'll leave you all to make your own judgements on this one) That's when the hitting will really start. Why would any driver enter, travel and compete in Friday qualifying just to spend all night hitting other cars and ruin their own chances? Just wondering ,2NZ dale Ewers did well @ the 240s , Smokin joe "although not from the south" did well also, Does it have to be big numbers that represent tracks (clubs) to do well ? I am sure there are other examples.
