You may be right Barry B in what you say, the place may be full on the night but thats all,its the palmy weather. Excuse me, with the greatest respect, but I just don't understand. It may be full on the night "but that's all". What does that mean, but that's all? Surely you can't do better than full? And what does the Palmy weather have to do with anything? Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

By the time i drive down to palmy and the cost to do that for a start, and they tell me on the palmy site its going to cost me $55 each night,$40 to get in $10 for a seat and $5 to park the car,i will give this one a miss. And you felt the need to inform everybody you weren't going to be there? The fact it'll be all but sold out, if not sold out, yet again, proves many others disagree........ Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B I'm with you custaxie, I'm not going either now. Reckon people like us should make a stand............. Barry reckons it's sow of a place anyway............

I have to laugh at people bagging the price. By all means, don't come but the meeting itself is worth a lot more than they charge. Suspect you can add another $10 to the price and the place will still pack out. Quite simply, most people think its worth it!
I liken it to paying more for a top rock concert than you'd pay for a local cover ban.

Still costs less than the sevens & you won't find most fans wanting to miss all but the final few races

Nothing wrong with gate prices stop ya moaning. 40 dollars for 3.5 hours entertainment is cheap these days, and the action on track is worth every dollar to a genuine superstock fanatic

Yeah, and petrol was $1.59 a litre! Times change, and inflation is inevitable.
I think its unbelievably good value. The same $75 last week would only have got you ONE nights entertainment watching the monster truck thingys at WP. If the All Blacks played at the Arena I don't think you would get in for $40!?

I think you're way off the mark, and I'm being very polite.....that's right just stay home chief, if you don't support the event go somewhere else fella

And yes, I have been going to the event since the early nineties.

And yes, I have been going to the event since the early nineties. There are far more seats in the place these days. Additional temporary grandstands plus all those little plastic seats on the terraces so more can be accommodated. Hasn't the grandstand seating been extended towards the track too?

I also believe that live streaming is lowering numbers. We had this discussion with a group a couple of weeks ago..that groups of friends or sports clubs etc can book these speedway events for $25 or so and a big group can put on the big screen in the comfort of there own homes and save alot of $ no travel, motels expensive food & drinks etc. I hope it doesnt start to ruin these events. The promotion will have to stop live streaming if things got to bad. My opinion tho you cant beat being there live.
