Grant Flynn 1 point back in 4th.overbraked and semi stalled engine, losing a costly 3 spots. Brilliant racing and Mark Osborne more than deserved in the victory. Fantastic track too - genius to hold it in March!

Congratulations to 1, 2, and 3nz Great racing.
That 41b was amazing to watch in the last race, no bounce or sway in the car at all, looked effortless driving around the pole line and making passes.
Thanks also for the stream, was awesome to be able to watch it.

That was a special performance tonight from Mark Osbourne. 52 points out of a possible 60 and it looked like it could have been more because in heat three he appeared to pull back a little in the second half of the race to avoid getting caught up in anything. If he'd needed to I think he could have got as high as 54 or even 55 points.
As a contest it was over 5 laps into the third heat. A dominating performance that was well worth the livestream fee.

When Jimmy J milo wears off and he see's that Mr Jennings 3NZ he will be an excited man. Good to see the Gold Card boy on the podium. No Flynn on the podium a surprise, especially on their home track but they have probably done more for the class especially thru the Burger King series than any one else. When will 24A get an NZ on the panel. Congratulations to all the competitors, not the smash fest that we all thought the format would bring and one of the few times a complete new line up from the previous year on the podium.

Correct, common sense prevailed and the 3 heats were extended from 15 laps to 20laps each. Mark Osbourne once again shows his brilliance as a driver to gain another 1 NZ. Please watch the Video to gain an insight as to his outstanding talent.

Well done to all involved I say . The competitors turned on a heck of a show and that's coming from someone who had lost my passion for the class in recent years. More shows like this one and I could become a lover again. The 3 heat format can work and it did at this championship.
The track was great , last time I attended this event at Meeanee finals night was a slick no passing dusty snooze fest. Not so this time and as pointed out by the excellent commentating pairing of Mal Sines and Mike Wilson running the event later in the season no doubt helped in this aspect. Mal's on the spot reporting and insight into the class also lifted the event magnificently.
Watching via the live stream dust didn't seem to be much of an issue, the podium was earned and the live stream itself ran pretty much perfectly for both nights. Congratulation to Mark Osbourne , Grahame Strong and Lance Jennings.

18th Season as Meeanee Track Announcer Completely agree, the 20 lap heat races was a great decision. The funny thing was even though it was printed in the programme at 20 no one had picked up on it at all as we hadn't really looked at Saturday's schedule of events apart from the repercharges up first. Malcolm and I hadn't noticed so in all the pre meet interviews we talked about 15 laps which the drivers had seemed to be resigned to. In the briefing they were told it had been amended to 20 and a huge sigh of relief spread across the room. How good was Osborne in the first 6 laps of heat 3!!!
