No one is suggesting not to support our sports youth, or that these drivers are a waste of time to watch alltogether - thats simply not true! Ummm, wait on a bit. Who was it that said that Ministocks and Minisprints are an insult to them. And that they should be paid to watch them. Hmmm, can't remember, ummm. No wait, it was you!!! I know who needs to pull their head in and it ain't 41ford. Good gutsy reply Abbo, thanks for that! I have a certain level of respect for those you are prepared to stand up for what they believe in, even if they are a bit confused. So with that in mind I'm more than happy to help you get the facts correct shortly. But in the mean time, I would be grateful if you could clarify something first.... you don't happen to be a ministock pilot or parent by any chance do you?

I know in Hawkes Bay alone some drivers who have gone from Ministocks to one other class are
James Tollison Ministock to TQ Bede Anderson Ministock to TQ Adam Groome Ministock to Superstock Sam Bartholmew Ministock to Superstock Bryce Cross Ministock to Stockcar Ryan Hurndell Ministock to Streetstock Timmy Towler Ministock to Streetstock Jessie Housten (sorry if wrong) Ministock to Streetstock Ashley Dittmer Ministock to saloons/Stockcar Daniel Dittmer Ministock to Saloon/Stockcar Daniel Melling Ministock to Streetstock Shane Mellsop Ministock to Superstock
So that sort of shows that they are moving up i know its not a huge percentage but they still need the support to keep going

No connection to any Ministock or Minisprint whats so ever. I crew for a Modified at WG who, incidently, have dropped their Ministocks off the program completely (luckily for the drivers Ruapuna has picked them up). So I have no bias to those classes other than I think they are the future of the sport. They deserve their time under the lights. Now I admit that running both the Ministocks and the Minisprints on the same night WHEN that night is something big like a NZ title may not be the best but it's still exposing the drivers to top class racing. And like someone else said, how many Stockcar or S/Stockcar drivers have offered to mentor a Ministock driver? If I was still young and drove a Ministock and someone like Rees offered to give me some pointers I'd be stoked.

Better than that, I and a group of friends are looking a loaning one or two stockcars a year to ministock drivers coming out of the grade.
