Final take 1 just in to 2nd lap 75m turned around 48a and there is 4 car pile up 48a out 68m out (be interesting to read mrs ttttt view as 48a just seem to lose power before being tagged)
Final take 2 75m send to rear of field in field of 22 with 1 lap to go after passing 21h to get in to 3rd place 75m lost the air in her right front and finshed 8th. was the drive of the night.
Well done to
1st 61a 2nd 43h Well done to you northland lads 3rd 21h

rodeo bends both ends. was great seeing the streetstocks getting air born
Now the track takes a 5 week break to get the place perfect. Looking forward to 01/03/09 Superstock Teams Race - Kihikihi Kings v Hawkes Bay Hawkeyes Waikato Midget Champs

Lots could be said about today, most of it not good, but it was only the first weekend back on track. Lets just say things didnt run, smoothly. As for Miss 75M, after being the cause of the incident an having outside assistants should have been send off, end of! Dont blame Mr Towgood for being a little upset. Apart from watching the grader for FAR to looooooong, it was great weather, nice to see the changes around the place, can only get better.

I thought the banking was going to be a bit more. Now they need to change the angle off the banking from top of wall to safety fence as cant see cars on track in front of you,as hidden.
Also are straight wider now or not?
I would give meeting 9/10 for entertainment value. 10/10 for value for money 4/10 track conditon
What time will NZ Superstock start, will there be lights just incase it get dark before racing finished
Was great having a twilight meeting and home by 10pm. Where was team Brock 5k and 97k?

Dont know what to say but the NZ Saloon GP final race was the best Saloon race this season, it had everything Not just the best Saloon race of the season, that was the best Saloon race of all time! The best in the class minus Towgood going toe to toe for 25 laps. Wymer was absolutely amazing after being justifyably restarted off the back. All the way up to third before suffering tyre problems. Track would be lucky to register on a ten point scale. The viewing from the back straight is a real problem. The bulk of the crowd sits there and you can't see the track along the back straight. After all the conjecture about fans standing by the fence at Cromwell and the alcohol related fighting, it was disappointing to see the team at Kihikihi not giving a stuff about either issue. No glass bottles it says at the entrance - yeah right. Overall though a pretty entertaining meeting. What about the hit from 61h in the third Stockcar race - brilliantly timed. Will write my review tomorrow.

I would give meeting 9/10 for entertainment value. 10/10 for value for money 4/10 track conditon I think that sums it up pretty well. I would probably give it a 8/10 for entertainment taking a point of for the holdups between races, the racing itself was certainly good. The track 2/10 (It avoids a 0 for the simple fact it did allow passing) and unfortunately I suspect the meeting would get a 0/10 from a drivers perspective. On the positive side that Saloon final was simply fantastic with the lap traffic adding a bit of spice to an already close race. Almost a match for Pickens v Insley in the Midget Final on Saturday!! With a big break till the next meeting Im sure the problems from today will be fixed in time for 01/03.

as the 2k's official said at the saloon drivers meeting "the track was s?!t" but what a final, i think something like 6 different leaders, and huge props go out to Inchman and Aaron and Steve for there 1-2-3, great racing, the lappers made it so interesting, Huge respect for MIchelle for coming from the back (and to the officials for sending here there to), only to be done by a flat on the last lap, best Saloon race i have ever seen,
Also Nigel Ross had a awesome weekend in the old Monza, 3rd in the Waikato Champs and leading the GP for a while, unfortunalty got a whole lot of help going around and finished down the order,

very harse call on micheal as toogood had all ready poped r/r tyre & slowed micheal lept out of the hole & hit his l/r the other cars run into her .to be sent to the rear & then fight her way back to the front passing 16 uncontollable cars she should have got driver of the day.then we had the same incident in next race were steve comes down the pole line & takes out nigel in the monza pushes him around turn 4 sideways dosnt back off & flicks him infeild .nothing happens ! apart from a lot of booing & unexplisive comments even from the anouncer .re grader not sure why after 1/2 hour of grading they put the streeties out who chopped up both corners again thought they would put out the saloons do a couple of wheel packs then let them go .after all it was a 20 lapper .excellent race by roy walker & arron tonks to avoid all the flying missiles ;D 3rd place was not accepted by public around us with more booing etc .re drinkinking .hic was very controlled even the guys next to us brought in there own bar & fridge .big boys to. but you would not known they were there . filled a drum full of empties . no problems .even refilled my hip flask :)as i was using it for sunblock . tui . hic

Well alot of differnt views from differnt people. Well done to Roy he drove an amazing race and was flying on saturday night in auckland. Well done tonksy man he drove the wheels off that car he was flying. Good to see him getting results to. Wymer good job i say.after taking out toogood she should have been sent off. If a car was infront of her shell bunt them out of her way. She poped her own tyre buy trying to take tonks out and then next corner her tyres flat. She needs a holiday me thinks. entertaintment id prob give a 6 as the track wasnt that good so didnt make for much hitting in streetstocks or stockcars apart from a couple of incidnts in heat 3.I think the crowd was well behaved and big ups to the supporters on turn 2 with the cowbells who were going at it all day and sunday night aswell in auckland
