My deepest condolences and sympathy go out to the Barry family at this tragic time. I Did not know Peter at all but anyone who puts a helmet on and goes out to entertain us is a hero in my book. I am sure the whole Superstock/Stockcar family in NZ weither they be drivers, crew, sponsors or supporters are by your side through this hardest of times.

As drivers we try to be tough, and play hard. It is our domain, show no weakness.
With a tear in my eye, and lump in my thoat I am thankful the keyboard can do the talking as right now I am struggling with this devastating news.
On behalf of the Kihikihi Kings, we pass on our absolute sympathies to Andrea, Olivia, Robert and Sam.
To loose a fellow racer is hard, to loose a team mate ......... words cannot describe.
RIP 26K / 71B
A Legend.

To the Barry family my thoughts and prayers are with you. There is not much else I can offer but my thanks for Peter sharing his chosen sport with so many.

What can one say? I have kept quiet on the other thread as I waited and hoped, our Love goes to Peters family,so hard when people are suddenly not there.I labeled Peter a TRUE Stockcar driver and that is what he was and what he will be remembered for, among many other good things. In such a short time Peter Barry became an Icon and an inspiration to so many.
