Be very interesting to see how he goes - have never seen anyone race a ministock that was that dominant. So smooth, and that should transition well to the minisprint catagory, lot of similarities.

I think your best bet would be to take the car engine out and put in a motor bike engine, as there are only modified sprints running down here now. Seems funny when the mini sprints were started in the south island and the modified sprints started in the north, and now they have made a total swap.

Dont do that The North Island Boys are planning heading south next season for a tour... In read in NZDTR that Mark Edwards is selling some gear down that way to get the class going again....

Let me see, the last time I can recall a mini-sprint running in the South anywhere to my knowledge was almost exactly a year ago when the modifiedsprints visited Westport - since that day theres been no sign of life at either Ruapuna or Ellesmere.....
I'm led to believe that there are only 2 (maybe 3) mini-sprints in exsistance down here now, with mosy being snapped up when the North Island "Boom" kicked in.......
Modifiedsprints seem to be gaining popularity down here again.......Hoping that trend continues..

Hmmm Numbers were higher at Ruapuna than in seasons past (with the odd exception) and Westport well, YES even I'm dissapointed with that turn out after having at least 10 ready to go at one stage..... "Gaining popularity" = still have interested parties, and by the sounds a few more "looking" at the class....is that not "Gaining popularity" ? Sdemon

there is alot of interest coming from people in the below christchurch areas about getting some minisprints started up down there. a few guys have made contact with sellers of cars in the north island wanting to buy for down there. can only be good for minisprints if it takes off in the south island again

Given that there is high interest in Taranaki as well with 12+ cars now resident here, and the class doesn't even run @ a SNZ track locally, interest is growing for this class.

Bout time Minisprints and Modified Sprints merged into one class aint it? A compromise in the rules, or upspec the Minisprints to be competive with the Modified sprints. Seems silly having one class in the south, and another in the north when it could be a truely national class?
