my predictions.... 12 or so of the top 20 qualifiers will have an M on their side.
Someone before talked about quality not quantity, Baypark has both, massive feilds of saloons, and some of, if not the fastest in the country.
1nz and 2nz will retain an NZ on their side, and others snapping at their heals and after the other NZ number will be 75m, 66m, 124m and 21H

Gonna be a tough technical weekend on Kihi, who has the best agility to go out to the wall and make that pass.
Anything could happen.... Maybe complete outsider takes the crown??
46a 2NZ and 1NZ are all potentials
Wildcard for me is 124m Dan Corrin - He maybe very young with little experience next to some entries, but he is a natural.. Dont rule out a NZ on this car, he may suprise you

Historyof : 277B Ian Mudgway as asked by DAZ and fearless.
yes I did drive street stocks back in the 80s(in fact put the first HQ on the track -when they drove Destos and super snipes. drove for about 3 years back then.retired until about 4 years ago and raced a couple of seasons in a skyline then a v8 Lexus. then brought 98H saloon of Greg Powel at the end of last season drove it for 6 meetings until the season ended, then purchased 6M Garry Edwards super saloon(rolling)in the off season, we completly stripped it down and fully rebuild car including an new engine, box, steering, shocks, body. so not a to muchl left of the old car , and have just been racing at home track to iron out the cars problems(and the drivers problems)lol We have the fortune and appreciate to be advised and coached by brothers Grant Flyn(former 2NZ super saloon) and StephenFlyn(new 1NZ super saloon) and their dad who is now retired from racing but has raced for many many years.also Ashly Odowd is taking a break but also well known and has raced for many years. And our base pit crew of Chris,Kane Tout and their dad Bill. myself and crew are greenhorns at the saloon thing,I wasnt going to race the NZs as I was going to wait until I had more seat time but after much appreciated encoragement after the last meeting at Kihikihi and the fact that we now feel we may have the car sorted out, have decided tocome along and support a great club and bunch of guys at Kihikihi.
Ian Mudgeway - ex Streetstock driver. got the Saloon at the end of last season. yep, very talented and one to watch
pretty sure he started racing Streetstocks in the 90's and had a long break before coming back about 4 years ago.. someone may be able to confirm

Thanks for the info Ian. Was good to get a response from the horses mouth . Looking forward to see you on the track. Remember tyres on the clay and not sunny side up is the way to get to the checkered. ;D

I'd almost go as far as suggesting 5 groups, especially if the numbers crept up a little more. Certainly wouldn't want more than 15 cars per group at qualifying stage, which you'd want to be as incident free as possible, yes?
