Anyone know whether you can watch this on the iPad? I don't see why not, but have never tried it. Logged in to wi-fi it'd work wouldn't it? I'm sure somebody on here has tried it and can answer for sure.

thanks every one 20 per night is cool with me as i cant get there will be hooking the laptop up to the big tv sweet as It's $US33 per night, approximately $NZ40 per night, not $20 per night as in your post. I think there's a two-night discount to $US60, which is approximately $NZ72 I think. Has anybody watched it hooked up to a big TV yet? I know Speedbox was okay, but haven't read any feedback on the big screen feed yet.............

I know Speedbox was okay, but haven't read any feedback on the big screen feed yet............. Yeah I did one one night. It was not as good as watching it on the laptop tho, just slightly to grainy and pixalated but still watchable. Remember Speedbox used to have a low, medium and high quality stream, The Video hub ones I have seen were somewhere between low and medium on SB. Videohub might be able to explain if they will be using a higher quality feed this time, for the exta $$$. I still say at $40ish per night it's still good value. One other thing to consider is NO ONE makes $$$ out of anything that happens at the FMG Stadium withoutout the owners of the stadium taking their cut and I'd almost bet me balls that videohub has to pay a % of revenue to them.

So how long until they charge more than the ticket price to get half the experience? I will only watch 1 night, if at all.

This thread is hilarious in part. Not that long ago you would have had two choices and they were to attend the meeting in person or stay away and miss out completely on what is regarded as the premier speedway event of the season.
Now along comes some technology that allows you a third choice, costs a few dollars but is still way cheaper, in most cases, than getting yourself track side and some people are whinging.
Easy answer , just pretend you're back to the original 2 choices.

Sadly thats priced it out for me. But they are a business and business needs to make profit to survive. Perhaps IF they dont do so well (which they may or may not do) the profits may decrease slightly with the price.
The only problem I would have is paying the money and having a seemingly sub par service. You've already paid, they have your money and you have no recourse. Heres hoping they really step it up for those who can afford it and dont just treat it like a cash cow.

Yeah im a child of the user pays decade....where whichever govt it was..im sure "user pays" was "rogernomics" under the labour party..so I kinda dont mind paying a high price if i get a decent service.... but its got to be good, see, I think this is the best thing to happen since the concept of Speedbox...finally someone has lifted the price of viewing to a point that there might be some meat in it for anyone who tries to do what Speedbox did.If 40 bucks is what you pay for a relay transmission of whats being shown on the big screen, designed for the enjoyment for those in the park...., well for goodness sake wouldn't you pay 50 bucks or even sixty bucks a night to get a speedbox style production sent live to your house with a decent commentator to boot...I suggest the guy from chch..great race caller....I certainly would and I would be including it in the Christmas /New Year budget...it would cost hundreds to go, I cant see getting out for less than $500 for the weekend for two...

the difference between the $15 service and the $25 service was a couple more camera angles. the quality of feed and coverage was still in my opinion $15 worth. to date there has been no justification for the hike to $40 i can only summise it is a money grab for a major event..... as a consumer the more i pay the more i expect

They have stated their price, it's now up to the punters who wont be at the event to decide if they will become consumers or not. For some ppl they will say the price is too high for what I think I'll get... Cool, fair enough. Same as selecting a restaurant to eat at, if you don't think it's value for $$ for the occasion don't go there, but don't sit outside the door having a cry. I've prob had 6 live streams from Videohub and have never been disopointed but then I wasn't paying $40, why? Because it wasn't a $40 meeting. Is the superstock teams champs a $40 per night meeting, for mne it is, others might (and do) think otherwise. I would have paid the same per night for a vid stream from Chch for NZ Std Stocks or Nelson for NZ A grade Stockcars. I dunno that I'd pay the same for Teams Nats from Akl but I'd consider it.

Nah it needs Adobe Flash Player I'm pretty sure, and Apple stuff doesnt work with Flash At the moment, adobe no longer supports flash for mobile devices either. So I doubt you can get the stream on ipads/tablets/ smartphones. I tried with my smartphone last weekend, and it didn't work I believe brett85p also tried with his tablet and couldn't do it either. Finding a lot of things that no longer work on my "not so smartphone" after adobe stopped their support of the mobile flash player.

At $30us a night for pay per veiw it is cheap. well here in the states it is. You wanna try paying the rates they charge here for live boxing...and some of those events don't even make it past the first round. Sure, I like, others want totally awesome, glitch free stream, with 100 different camera angles and my own selected replays, and the commentator of my own choice, beer served to me at regular intervals, food on demand, and all this for only$20nz. But reality is, here is someone offering us the best they can do with current technology that they have in their possesion, for a price that is still cheaper than going to the event ourselves. And STILL we complain.
Oh and I also want the meeting to have a start time of Lunch time so I don't have to stay up all night to watch it here in the states. and darn it, I want it all for $20nz free.
