Much talk around about live streams but this is one I can vouch for from experience. The Stream from Palmy a couple of weeks ago was excellent with regards the quality of image and sound. The stream ran the full meeting without any stoppages or stuttering. My connection here at home is one of the new fangled fibre jobs which is obviously an advantage over some of the old copper type connections although if your provider is up to the job and your computer and modem aren't too ancient all should be well for you too. Check your connection at speedtest.net and see what your setup is providing you with, preferably during the 7pm to 10pm time slot. Mine is Jeez Macgor, never vouch for any thing to do with live feeds..its been a bollox since it started and it still crap now. screen shots

Suggest you keep an eye on the Videohub facebook page. Power outages were experienced several times before 7pm and one again at 9.25pm. Hopefully an update coming as to why and a plan for this not to repeat tomorrow night. Appreciate your support.

Suggest you keep an eye on the Videohub facebook page. Power outages were experienced several times before 7pm and one again at 9.25pm. Hopefully an update coming as to why and a plan for this not to repeat tomorrow night. Appreciate your support. As STM reports - live streaming is a tough job, I think sometimes the problems are small and you can deal with them by clicking a mouse - other times the problems are huge and your going to have to get the hands dirty and run around like a headless chook for next to no thanks plugging and unplugging cables and fixing issues that should never have sprung up with gear that was already tested to make sure the problems didnt happen! {my own experience in live work there!} The stream looked and sounded great when it was working and while I got to see a semi reasonable amount of the racing, the outages where frequent enough and annoying enough to warrant an email from me about them. grand total I had about an hour and 45mins of properly uninterrupted streaming, sadly after the initial hour {between 8 and 9} it mostly came in twenty minute chunks. and by that i mean that the website would freeze {not my computer since every other website worked great} and i simply reloaded the page to kick start the video and away it went again... A bit weird but there you go - how can that be fixed by the stream provider? it cant - the provider of the connection is at fault for that one! Im not mad - especially since I understand the pressures of the job, but Ive still emailed. its a professional product after all - I just hope night 2 isnt as bad as tonights, I would hate to see the same issues cropping up again. for thier sake.

Does the issue arise due to the amount of people streaming?

Issues were track related, corporate boxes, catering area, and some other areas kept losing power, and in the end something also went on the big screen.
Unfortunately video were set up in the middle of the area that kept losing power I think so all there equipment shutdown.
The sound at first was a issue but it came good, stream was great when there was power. Video hub will need to get onto palmy speedway tommorow and make them get a back up system, if they can guarantee there won't be a power loss tommorow I'll pay another $50.

We couldn't do anything about the power cuts. Unfortunately what happens is if both the main and backup streams from the venue to Full Flavour fail, viewers start refreshing their page and the website struggles to keep up. So it takes a few more minutes for everything to recover once one or both of the feeds come online again.

The 4 seeded teams(top 4 from last year) all got 7 or so races between there 2 races, the other 8 teams only get 3 races.
Just the way it is and always will be.

why is it 50 bucks? just seems very steep. Well it's $40 an adult without reserved seating. Food and drink cheaper at home and also if you don't live in Palmerston you save on gas and model. For the entertainment it's cheap. Get a mate around and go halfs (50 for two nights) I didn't see Chch vs Hawkes Bay. Other than that stream was awesome.
