This season was going to be the last season of GPs but the vote went to keep them going,Speedway NZ wanted to dispose of them. It was a proposed rule change by a track, When it got to the AGM not a single track voted for it even the track that proposed it didnt even stand.. the only person that wants there to be less national titles is ramjam.. would like to know the back story on how the nz gp hurt his feelings so much

As a devout fan of Superstocks racing I am disappointed with all the negativity surrounding the perceived lack of numbers registered to contest the NZGP. Personally, I'll be thrilled to make the trip from Masterton to where-ever this prestigious SNZ Title is fought out. Come on speedway fans, please quit the whining and get in behind the event, support it instead of putting it down.

There isn't the same number of superstocks around this season as there was the last couple. Mid 40s was rhe norm for a long time. Wanganui would get so many more if itnwas a one day meeting all done of the Saturday. Didn't palmy have 95 or something for a one day meeting in 2021. But there just isn't the same number of competitors out there.

Good entry from Stratford with over 1/4 of their superstocks entered, pity Wanganui don,t support Stratford contact class, 166v is the only car i have seen from Wangas this season. .

To be fair to the V, Stratford may have only had 2 meetings so far this season with all the rain about haven't they? And wanganui has been running both of those times.

Where are all the Palmy superstocks thought there would be quite a few more My thoughts exactly, i wouldve thought at least 4 or 5 more wouldve come over, its like 70kms,that's hardly an away trip tbh, even if you have a good deal of work before xmas, not to far to just see if you can at least qualify for a valid snz trophy. That being said, with possible late entries 53 is not a bad number of top Superstock drivers from every track except Huntly in the north island represented, it's great to see the mount well represented too and going on past GPs 50 to 60 is not bad at all, and to be fair the way the weather has been lately some may even just be waiting to see if the sun is forecasted to shine or not before even entering. If they can manage to get 60 that's 3x groups of 20 and a 2nd tier on the second night and I'll take that for sure, throw in 26 to 30 stockcars and classics it's shaping up to be a very decent weekend. I am very much looking forward to seeing some very very good drivers racing at the oval by the ocean nxt weekend, and the lights built into the wall look awesome. See you guys and girls there!!

There's a video or photo somewhere Barry that shows Wanganui have fitted LED lights into a groove in the wall the whole way around the track, looks great & should stop the I didn't see the red light carry on

Looking at the entries there's a few Manawatu based drivers entered, they just have a G,K or V next to their numbers now. Of the Palmerston North registered cars a few of them are travelling from Taranaki. I'm unsure how many actual P registered drivers have raced at their meetings yet, but they don't have enough to have a Panthers team for Huntly yet so numbers might be a struggle at the moment.
