I wonder how many fines SNZ will dish out tonight for cars not using axle stand in the pits. On the live stream they are showing quite a few cars jacked up and no axle stands - that is a big no-no now with Health & Safety. Seeing as SNZ did ridiculous rules the other night this is surely a sitter for them and revenue generation. 😀

Does anyone know the lap record at Palmy for a Midget? I recall at beginning of season Jordan McDonnell said he got the new lap record of 15.358 and see T-Mez got a 15.142 and several drivers getting under McDonnells record from earlier in the year.

Some fast racing in the feature - but SNZ stuff up the relegation of Buddy. He should have been starting from 3 on the restart as he was leading so an on track relegation is 3rd (not 4th as he was electing to start from 2nd before he knew he was relegated). When will they get this important stuff right? Who is accountable?

Tmez fast but no luck. SNZ managed to give Pickens a win Adults driving kiddie stocks? Fast track Buddy definitely cut the pile line to pass Pickens the first time. The relegation was justified - SNZ just applied it wrong as Buddy should have dropped to 3rd not 4th.

Looking at the video footage the penalty was justified cutting the poleline. so wasnt SNZ gave Pickens the win. was actually Pickens driving to win the race fair and square.

Have to say was bit disappointed with the racing last night
What is up with the tracks these days 1 lane tracks Waikaraka park 1 lane round bottom with dust for a cushion Baypark just super fast hammer down practically 1 lane a fast lane, never slows down which actually makes average racing Palmy a lot faster than normal but the top was just dust If you slipped off bottom then you were going backwards
What happened to the old palmy Slick cushion up on fence and 2 lanes top and bottom
Baypark needs to slow down and widen out will make for better racing

Yes i can see that glumness of the open wheel fan brigade coming in from the Auckland region. And agree if you are going to see Open wheel racing and it is playing second fiddle to other classes why bother going.Interesting in the South island all tracks whether it be Stock car orientated or open wheeled classes they seem to work together to keep all the fans interested regardless of what classes they back.Look at Woodford Glen they have a round of the Hydraulink War or the Wings Sprint car series coming up. Like Greymouth in a few weeks time and the same for Cromwell over the Christmas period. Also CTRA Track Ellesmere Speedway will host a round of this Sprintcar series. And while talking about Ellesmere they have already hosted rounds of the Debbie the Webster Super Saloon series and the South island Saloon series(and Ellesmere is supposed to be more biased towards Open Wheelers). The rest of these Saloon series were hosted by SNZ tracks in the South island.Auckland you have the biggest populated area as far as a City goes in NZ and the South island (Ruapuna Speedway) Christchurch now surpasses you as the only track that runs Open Wheeled cars classes only.If Western Springs closes to speedway completely,I don't know what is going to save Open wheel racing from being an add on class in Auckland 2024.But sometimes in this World you have to have a mix of the best to make it happen.

A couple things cromwell an excellent racetrack and surface to share with other classes Waikaraka park a terrible facility for any class I use Cromwell as example as I've been there couple times and the racing across the board was excellent my visits across town always end up leaving early, board or over eating last visit I literally took enough money for 2 hotdogs and a drink just to save my money. as for springs closing, KK and Baypark will be the big winners and a majority of there events are similar classes together, not all meetings but most are similar style

What an absolute disappointing 40 lapper this evening. That track may have as well been prepped by Bill Buckley. Why didn't the drivers tell the promoter to grade the track. Whoever drives that water truck must have set a lap record at the speed he was going at. And that open air driven, 10 wheel contraption thing doing circuits, I don't know, but waste of time. That had the potential to be a F'ing good race, if it wasn't for follow the leader. Who's in charge of the Yellow lights, they're obviously oblivious to what's going on trackside. That #34 car in the heat race that Williams tumbled over, I'm sure that wasn't under Yellow light. Boy Oh Boy. I came back from up the beach to watch that crap. Congratulations to all drivers putting up with that, and to those that must have wrecked some gear. I feel for you. I usually drive home from Speedway weaving in & out of traffic on the motorway pedal to the metal cause I'm hyped, but not tonight, I drove home like Driving Misses Daisy.
