Typical midget drivers can’t get laps in on NZ’s biggest and widest track -what a shame
5 race starts is a joke

Not being an open wheeler junkie I don't know any thing about T Mez but watching his WP video he is certainly one cool dude and gives an honest assessment of track, car and himself. Certainly fly's the flag for driver communication to the public. What is the Ti -phoon chassis and XB 4 motor combo he's running, certainly a combo I haven't heard of.

What i know TI-PHOON chassis and XB4 motor is brainchild of former midget car driver Angus Mc Leod. its relatively new package am pretty sure couple drivers using it including Tom Lumsden still being developed. i think reason T mEz was intersted as engine package hes using in the states like no ones using Stealth Ford Engler.

He worked hard for that 👍 Barry B sure did wasnt easy win as the series too was tough. Buddy never gave up the chase to beat him on track which Americans feel more at home with. great result and 1st win Bay 51 for MP.

Anyone know why there was only 2 Americans? Usually we get at least 4 and a couple of Aussies? Hopefully the international series isn’t dying and we get more overseas drivers next year

Hopefully the international series isn’t dying and we get more overseas drivers next year In a word, economics (he said, guessing). Realistically without Western Springs running income from the Series would have been down drastically, which for a promoter wanting to at least break-even if not make a dollar, knowing income is going to be down there's only one way to balance that up and that's by reducing outgoings (i.e; American drivers"). Whether next year is any different will depend on the future of Western Springs Speedway, Since 1929. Barry B

Barry B Curious as to know back 40 years ago when it was more amateur sport we had promotors would pay get international drivers down nz for series ? be paying prizemoney , appearance money and travelling money get them here. nowadays i could be wrong onus has been on Car Owners bring drivers down here, wasnt for them putting there hands in the pockets could say over past 20 years. wouldnt of seen amount of top drivers from America racing here likes of Bryan Clauson, Kyle larsons and Christopher Bell etc.. over the years.. now promotors only appear pay out just on prizemoney. saying that has it become more difficult attract world class drivers here.. when its now car owners paying have them race here..
