He is getting worse with his confusion. During interviews with the top three he was having to look at the drivers name on their race suits to remember their names. Yes, I noticed that. And he was totally shocked when Myers Jnr informed him that he was top on points and not fifth, where GS thought he was. Maybe the points were kept secret from him too Barry B

the thing with the points is they are pretty meaningless when some drivers have had front and middle grids and others had back and middle grids. Until all the heats are completed the points are misleading. When Pickens is under pressure and behind it sometimes looks like he panics and overdrives. That not coming from me but from some drivers I have spoken to. The top 2 at the end of night 1 occupied the front row of the grid for the title race and the guy who was 3rd overnight became 2nz. The grids don't have as much of an impact as you'd think. Points are important.

I can withstand a fair amount of criticism at times, but those who do it ,dont stand back and have a good look at themselves ,shame really ...

Its interesting that here NZ SNZ titles are open overseas drivers. for likes of Midgets/Sprintcars. in oz only for local drivers. why dont we adopt same approach. as titles go offshore not likely see 1NZ in sprintcars at many tracks around the country. joel Myers Jnr he still in the country or he returned nobody get see 1NZ on tailtank. probably not until next season.

It has varied over the years, sometimes overseas drivers have been let in, other times not. The latest rule is that any overseas driver has to do a minimum of five meetings before they can race in any New Zealand title. So it's quite a commitment. Barry B

Joel Myers Jr has done full season last year and most of the season this year. Allard basically 14 full seasons in NZ. I think that sort of commitment should allow them to compete. In Australia anyone can run the midget title but must be Australian to run sprintcar title.
