With such good old photos being posted from people like Pallmall, Antzgofast, etc (thanks a million great to see them) was thinking about some of the drivers I remember as a young 1 going to HB Speedway at Meeanee, 1 driver I remember was Terry Lay , 10 HB ran a Falcon Sprint 6 engine in a Ford Pop bodied car with Wyona Canneries/Big Apple Cider sponsorship? What ever happened to him , Is the car now gone?any pictures about of the car? be great to see some .once again thanks to all those posting pictures from the past eras

Racerman when was Terry Lay around? One of my old favourites was Peter O'Brien in the 21HB car from the early 1980's. The last car he had was the old 7s Bruce Simpson car but he also had some good looking cars before that. All red if I remember rightly with their garages' sponsorship on it. Southern Auto Services was it?

Steve(Spanner) Stanfield, yep 1 unique racer , both in Streetstocks and Stockcars , in fact raced in the Streetstock class before they were Streetstocks first in a '54 Vauxhall, then the infamous "Ian Hay Wreckers AP5 Valiant", oh those were the days at "Stonehaven St Wreckers, and Kerbside Welders" Those stories alone could fill a book!!!!

great photo's fastford. If you have anymore please post them. You have reminded me of some of those other HB drivers who I hadn't thought about.
Pall Mall, do you have anymore of the early Tony Warner cars?

Racerman that is an excellent photo. I know that the saloon is Mike Weymes, but do can you tell me who the TQ was?
I remember those picnic meetings, they were awesome. Tub let Dad take us for a spin in his stockcar around Meeanee and it was one of my best memories. Having two kids sitting next to you in the stockcar hooning around the track probably wasn't the safest, but it was a lot of fun.
I bet Ross Heppell has a number of great photo's from the 70's and 80's out at Meeanee.

Here is another, "Rear Engined Roger" Young 38HB Honda 500/4 power, from the '78 season, built by Roger Young , was sold to Robert Hughes who converted it to front engine and was a disaster I believe it was then scrapped, TQ 27 is ... Me.. 1980 season Graeme Sutton J.A.P. 500 engine car was sold to Ken Linklater, then to Bob Anderson of Wanganui who had a big crash then was scrapped
